    Thats a cool picture GB.
But his "air" is sort of an illusion. Put your fingers on the screen and measure his thigh(femur) then, move your fingers like his leg is straight up and down...then double that distance, because a person's thigh and tib/fib are pretty much the same length. You'll see that he is really only about 2 ft off the ground as his foot would reach just above magette's mid-tib/fib area.
You could also look at the ball and see that its not even a basketball's length above the rim, even with near full extension of his VERY long arm. Ahhh, to be a 6'11'' er...

Two other pertinent facts - he didn't make the dunk and he was called for charging. So the Vince-on-Weis comparisons can stop there, I suppose. The picture is pretty damn amazing though.

I forgot what year it was, but Rex chapman had some AWESOME dunks in a dunk competition. He made it to the semis or something like that...think it was the year Dee brown:rolleyes: won it.

Forget Rex Chapman. Brent Barry. Free throw line (well, a half step inside). Dunk competition. In terms of style, it was no MJ, but pretty fly for a white guy.

Style points must be given for executing the dunk while rocking that long-sleeve warm-up ... a vision in red, soaring through the air...

whose hating? I said it was a cool picture, but his hops aren't THAT great compared to other great NBA dunkers. Analyze the picture for yourself and see. He's just a tall guy dunking...if you raise your legs while you're jumping, it will look like you have more air than you do, as foster is demonstrating. Since he's so tall it looks like a lot more than an average player would look.
THanks for blowing me off with your whatever:rolleyes: though...pretty cool on your part.

Sorry, for me that was one of the most boring dunk contests ever. Barry performed a nice free throw line dunk in his warm up, but it had little flair, and he did the same dunk as his last dunk in the contest as well.

Chapman had flair, he did some crazy dunks. I loved to watch him.

Dee Brown won in 91. Barry won in 96.

Brown only won the dunk contest because he pumped his Reebok pumps up before his dunk. Anyone remember that dumb commercial?

RE: "Blanco hops," I wouldn't mind seeing Dirty Dirk in the dunk contest this February.

I don't think Dirk will fare too well......plain two handed dunks don't go over too well with the judges.
