riatta is nice, but it was way too far north imo... hated driving to my friends' place out there.

of course i lived on enfield about 100 yds west of mopac, so i was a lttle spoiled :p

    dude,
go back to houston and tell me if driving to Riata was really that hard from enfield. riata has everything and its newer, did u get a chance to check out all the amenities there? also the free beer parties?

oh, i'm back in houston my friend... and living in uptown/memorial area just off 610 and san felipe. it takes me longer to go down the street in this part of town than it did to go to riatta from enfield. but relatively speaking, while living in austin, i loathed that drive.

My last year at UT I stayed at the Gables off of MoPac near Barton Creek Mall and it was unbelievable. Didn't have to battle the 35 traffic everyday and was so close to Town Lake and Barton Springs.

The Riata is a DWI waiting to happen if you go out a lot like I do. This is why I live off South Congress -> $4.50 cab ride to 4th or 6th St plus walking distance of Freebird's, Zen, Guero's, and Home Slice.

    LOL,
i do know some people who've hit some deer on the way back from downtown. they have a weekend party bus last time i was there. they'd pick you up and drop you smack downtown.

i did notice that when i lived there. however, he's super rich and he owns tons of things that i did not know he owns. for example, if you eat a PapaJohn's pizza, you are giving $ to Jerry Jones. He owns hundreds of them in Texas.

If you eat Papa John's, you need to get better taste buds.

I didn't know that about Papa John's, but I'm can stand by my boycott since I wouldn't eat PJ if it was free...and I was homeless...and I had lost my tongue.
