Where's "community college instructor"? It's actually a pretty good job. Not on there. "Professor" wasn't on there either, that I saw. (unless I missed it; in that case, hmmmm, maybe I don't deserve that job ) "Teacher" wasn't ranked too high, but that varies dramatically anyway depending on the subject, setting, and age group. Also, "actor", "artist", "jeweler", "choreographer", but no "musician". Hmmmm, what's up with that? Anti-music bias? Or do they just not find work? What about "music instructor"? I did see some music maintenance jobs. My favorite out of the high-ranked jobs, that I would do if I ever knew enough about it, was "instrument repair" at #37.
My buddy fixes brass instruments and does pretty well. There is never a shortage of work when you think about all the high school kids dropping/stepping on their horns during marching band.
duhhh how else do you think they drive the nicest cars and have the biggest houses and get to the church in helicopters.
#127...maybe I sould be doing that instead of posting here... Oh wait...kids are finishing chapter summaries of Night and working on the notes for their final exam next week...
I'll have to send this to my dad. He was a painter (#182) and will no doubt be surprised it wasn't ranked lower. Little Joey's teacher asked everyone what their fathers did for work. Each kid said in turn. When it was Joey's turn, he said, "He's a fluffer for p*rn movies." The teacher brought him out into the hallway. "Joey, your father is not a fluffer," she said, "why would you say that?" "Oh c'mon, Mrs. Jones, do I have to tell everybody my father is a painter!?"
I was just wondering the same thing? $60,000/yr? For what? Any who pays them? Should I be concerned that my position isn't even within the 200 (Manufacturing Account Manager)?
