1. LCD Soundsystem- This is Happening 2. Arcade Fire- The Suburbs 3. Titus Andronicus- The Monitor 4. Jonsi- Go 5. Janelle Monae- The Archandroid Special mentions to Two Door Cinema Club- Tourist History Congratulations- MGMT American Slang- the Gaslight Anthem Fang Island- Fang Island And theres probably a few more im forgetting Most anticipated right now being the new Kanye West I completely disagree in every way. I didn't like it on first listen, but after listening some more, I fell in love. Every track on it is good. Dance Yrself Clean, All I Want, You Wanted a Hit, I Can Change, Pow Pow, and Home are all awesome (Home may be my favorite song of the year), and One Touch and Somebody's Calling Me are both very good too. only song I didn't immediately love was Drunk Girls, but I dont really mind it, its catchy, and I like it more after seeing it live, because its crazy fun live. Most of these songs were great live, specially Dance Yrself Clean and Home. Not a bad song on the album and some really really good ones. Its great top to bottom.

My two favorite records this year are, of course, Arcade Fire's "The Suburbs" and a record I haven't seen mentioned here that is really great... Has anyone listed to "I'm Having Fun Now" by Jenny and Johnny? It's a great, mellow, singer-songwriterish record that I can't stop playing... ...but maybe it's becuase my wife is on the record that she would allow Jenny Lewis to join us in a threesome. I have to figure out a way to make that happen.
Reflection Eternal - Revolutions Per Minute Bun B - Trill OG Rick Ross - Teflon Don Slow year for hip hop IMO...
The Sword - Warp Riders <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/OYmgjk22qXA?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/OYmgjk22qXA?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
okay, i'll join the pre-jac circle jerk dangermouse and sparklehorse (dark night of the soul) burns unit (side show) tallest man on earth (the wild hunt) arcade fire (the suburbs) no age (everything in between) deerhunter (halcyon digest) ariel pink's haunted graffiti (before today) superchunk (majesty shredding) lcd soundsystem (this is happening) walkmen (lisbon)
I've got a lot of albums to catch up on, but this one will be near the top of my list. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/SEXQNSwrWZI?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/SEXQNSwrWZI?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
you should check out this jimi hendrix guy that i mentioned earlier - he is dead now, but was a pretty good guitar player.
My pick is Sleigh Bells- Treats. Not really a big fan of Arcade Fire- Suburbs. Kind of boring for me, but I guess I'll give it more listens.
