    ive heard from people who have worked on movies w/ julia roberts that she is quite the snob - crew are specifically told not to talk to her or even look her in the eyes.

    and she is a mediocre actress, while meryl streep is regarded as one of the best of all time.

    In truth (sadly) there are not a lot of great black actresses. But there are still actresses I'd readily rank ahead of Julia Roberts ...

    - (Obvious) Halle Berry
    - Whoopi
    - Gabrielle Union

    Halle Berry? Zoe Saldana?

    Both may be better looking than Roberts, but I don't think either is a better actress. Gabrielle Union I can't comment on. Whoopi is very underrated imo, but she was also very limited in the roles she could do.

    i agree. Halle and Zoe are easy on the eyes, and have been good in their roles but i wouldnt put them on any top actress lists...yet at least.

    Whoopis best work was almost 20 years ago.

    Gabrielle...hasnt done enough of substance really. And the few things i've seen her in she didnt "wow" me.
