Lebron was scared to guard this man, yet we're still arguing who's better? Lebron is a better all around player but KD's scoring outweighs all the other things Lebron does better. KD's the better defender also. When it's all said & done Durant's the best player in the NBA as of today
LeBron won three times. All three times he had superteams of two other All-Stars. In fact, he really only has a 0.500 Finals record even when he played with two other All-Stars. (2-2 with Bosh/Wade and 1-1 with Irving/Love). So this argument that Durant needs help doesn't diminish him at all.
Depends on who is coaching and what system they run. Durant can't carry a team playing LeBron style "system" of driving to finish or kicking out while teammates stand around. But he can definitely carry a team playing under, say, Popovich using Durant as a super-Leonard.
I would take either one of them. They are both great players. I think KD would have won a ring with OKC if he stuck around a little while longer. It would have been better for his legacy. Instead he sold himself short. He joined GS and won 2 rings. The thing is, Joe Chee could have joined GS and won 2 rings too. I could have joined GS and sat on their bench to win 2 rings. It's just not that impressive and satisfying. It's not going to fill the hole for him. Everyone is still going to question if he could ever build his own championship team vs just joining a 73 win team. We all know it. He knows it too. That's why he's so defensive about it. If he wants to cement his legacy and get the ultimate satisfaction, he should join another team and beat GS.
It's obvious LeBron is #1. KD seemed to close the gap last Finals, but now that gap seems as wide as ever considering the things LeBron has done this postseason run. If you think KD is #1, then you probably have a history of hating LeBron.
Anybody who says KD is no 1 over Lebron is such a big joke. Yeah ok, KD played great in the playoffs, that's what happens when you have 3 other all stars on your team WTF. If Lebron had 3 other all stars and another former all star coming of the bench he would have been rested enough to both play defense and score all the points on his team.
Lebron wasn't scared, he was tired. Dude played all 81 games and carried this lotto team to the Finals. He's also in his 16th year and 34 yrs old wtf. KD's played with at least Klay Thompson and Draymond Green the entire season so obviously it's easy for him to play 1v1 when that's the only thing he has to do.
He wasn't tired, he simply didn't want to hurt his legacy getting scored AGAIN by KD. If you're supposedly the best ever in NBA history, guarding Kevin Durant is a challenge you should be looking FORWARD too. Not too tired for lol
How do you know he wasn't tired? Guarding KD won't win them the game if you are the best ever (which Bron STILL isn't) your mindset should be how to win the game not some BS 1v1 competition. That is the same dumb mentality Westbrick had when he locked up Rubio and ignored the rest of the match. Also Lebron played all 82 games and had 7 game series until the Finals, you think he shouldn't be tired? You are clearly reaching and looling for every excuse to put Lebron down c'mon dude.
