I have a plotter machine and I make stickers, signs, etc. Its just something I do for fun, I do however spend a lot of time making my friends personalized things for their cars.
I don't personally do it, but there is always a group of people near the holidays every year that scour the toy stores and Walmarts for the hot gifts of the year and Ebay them for profit.
I'll be serious here instead of all these jokers here. You can make money selling on Ebay despite the flood of sellers from Asia selling cheap goods. All you have to do is scan the deal sites, like slickdeals.net or fatwallet.com. You can buy stuff at a huge discount and resell them on Ebay for a decent profit. For example, 6 months ago I bought a Navigon 2100 GPS device from Staples.com for 99 bucks shipped. These things are still selling for more than $150 and at the time I bought it, they were selling for $175-200 at retail and on Ebay. I found the deal on the Slickdeals.net site. If you do it often enough, and have the patience and drive to find deals, you can make decent money. I don't sell on Ebay, simply because I don't have the time, but if I was out of work or needed emergency funds I would probably do so.
While a lot of these tips are great, anyone else think that maybe refocusing your energy (from doing side jobs, selling on Ebay, etc) on something that would get you a better paying job would be a better use of your time? Maybe that's simplifying it too much, however. I'm in IT so I just go learn some new technology and that eventually (usually) means a increase in pay somewhere down the line. I can see how that doesn't easily work across all jobs. But a teacher for example can go learn Spanish or something and will be able to get better jobs in the future. Doesn't help immediately but I like to focus long term.
I play poker on Friday/Sunday nights with close friends...only $10 buy ins so I don't take too much Most I made in one night was $70, usually just make $20-30 But one of my friends made $200 (bc of some dude we rarely play with kept buying in for $20 and then would go all in blind every time [sooo annoying] and he bought in for a total of $200), but then went on the longest cold streak anyone of us had
Interesting, I need to look into this. My spermazoa could fetch a hefty sum. I suppose the only problem with that would be that in many years, I could have an intellectual equal to deal with. Frightening.
