I don't think A vote of dissent is stupid. Trump will win Texas regardless so my vote for a 3rd party candidate will be a vote against the status quo. Maybe in a hotly contested, or battle ground state, it would be stupid if you were more aligned with one party or the other and hell bent on stopping the other party. All I can do is try to research each candidate on the ballot, and vote for the person I feel is most honest and most reflects my views on the issues. I can tell you with certainty neither Hillary nor Drumph meet those criteria.
Don't like this logic at all. If you like Stein, vote for Stein. If you like Johnson, vote for Johnson. If you like Clinton, go ahead and vote for Clinton. But don't vote for Clinton because you feel like you're held hostage by Trump. If you vote third party and Trump wins, it won't be the fault of your infinitesimally small vote. It'll be the fault of the electoral capture perpetrated by the duopoly party system that produced two garbage candidates in the first place.
We all know it is either Trump or Clinton, all the other candidates are just distractions. You can pick one or the other, a third party vote is a vote for the candidate you like the least between Trump and Clinton, it is that simple.
On topic, Bernie played this pretty well, in terms of getting some concessions, moving the platform, and then endorsing. I'm impressed and even hopeful he can continue to move the party in a positive direction. I'm shocked, for example, that he's going to campaign for Congressional Dems, help motivate the voters. As for shaming, I'm not for it. Make a cogent argument for what you think people should do and then drop it. The person who will most shame Bernie hold-outs is Trump, as he continues to open his crazy-pants mouth. He'll do the work much better than any liberal could. LOL.
How much you want to bet that Bernie sold his email list to Hillary. glynch, if you get an email from Hillary let us know.
I'm not happy about her, but given the alternative I sure as hell hope they do. Not sure it will happen, but I would love Warren as the VP. Outside of my liking her politics, I think that would motivate a lot of Bernie's people to actually vote which would have a huge impact on the down ballot races.
Back to the hysteria about Bernie Sanders and his supporters, which you should really reevaluate. Why not just admit that $15-hr and free tuition would not have been in the platform, but for Sanders and will not pushed for without continued pressure from Sanders and his supporters on Hillary after November. The Dems actually standing and fighting for the themes of Bernies platform will actually help the Dems more than the Clintonian triangulation and sucking up to Wall Street.
Sorry you little McCarthyite, but Bernie is not for sale, son. I have gotten daily emails from Hillary for at least a year. Some of the funniest- disgusting ones were from that entitled little rich girl, Chelsea saying Will you help my mom_
glynch ..are you a relative to Sanders! Hmm never mind, I know the answer, I just wondered how would it feel to ask this kinda of a question
I hope she continues with that mindset. And I also hope she continues championing platforms that directly benefit those Middle American voters she has desperately been targeting for decades rather than just hustling for appeal and "values".
You may have posted that in fun but actually there is some truth in this post. And before anyone ask, no I will not do the research for lazy liberals. Lazy Liberals are a huge contributor to what is wrong with this country.
[Premium Post] Bernie supporters who are pure in their ideological leanings will immediately gravitate to Dr Jill Stein. She is a champion of socialist beliefs without any of Hillary's baggage, war-mongering past, or Wall Street greed. "To stand against oppression you must stand against it everywhere, not just when it is politically convenient." - Dr Jill Stein
Mental r****dation is a serious problem that affects thousands of people in our country. Take notice posters.
Wow, it takes a lot to admit you suffer from that affliction. I commend you for speaking out. Liberal people do need help.
CML doesn't understand the concept of 'burden of proof'. The onus is on the claim maker to provide evidence, not the skeptic.
You and I know this. But judging by the struggles CML seems to have just making a coherent post, i highly doubt he has the intellect to understand such an elementary grade level concept.
You and the idiot you quoted are in the same boat lacking facts. I have never seen anything worthy of seeing his post yet I saw one from of his quotes in your quote. Congratulations you have made my ignore list too!! I feel smarter yet again.
