He won't but Morey will. So maybe Parsons gets an oversized contract, maybe just fair to compensate for his low pay these 3 years (like what happened to Scola), but if he gets way overpaid his value, then we will trade him (e.g. amnestying Scola).
It's funny how people inside the bubble aren't aware (and some just don't care) how their spin is perceived. The "we don't lose anybody" statement wasn't even necessary. I don't expect total honesty, such as, "I have a man-crush on Chandler Parsons, as do we all; he puts women in the stands and they always buy beer and nachos, even if I didn't like him as a player and a person, which I do; we ain't gonna lose him, especially since he was instrumental in landing Dwight Howard and they both share the same powerful agent." Don't be like the girl who breaks off your date because she has to go out with her actual boyfriend but tells you as a cover, "My relatives are coming in from Alaska and I can't go out." Keep it simple and believable. No embellishment needed. "I like Chandler Parsons as a player and a person; we ain't gonna lose him. Book it."
To give any other answer would be pouring blood in the ocean. I'm sure the Rockets want to keep Parsons He's young, popular, good, and maybe getting better, but I don't think any Rocket is untouchable to Morey, except maybe Yao.
That was mostly Harden. Parsons can text and call all he wants but D-12 didnt come here because of him.
In between Chandler and Lin we'll have the teenage girl market in our back pockets! I like the way Les thinks cue les laugh
He'll be here. We'll sign Chandler. We always do. Nobody's ever left. He's an integral part of the team. We don't want to let a terrific player go unless he asks for a player option on the fourth year.
He is stayin' I'm just sayin' No sense playin' Just be prayin' he is worth the jack - with interest back pay for the years he was jacked
If "truth" was an 18 wheeler and ran over him, Les wouldn't even feel it. Really, players were coming in and out of here like a revolving door.
