I know it is Per 36. But like I said he got mostly garbage time and mostly used as a spacer so he wouldnt have the chance to get a possession and drive to the rim. If you play 8 mins a night and dont get fts on those 8 mins even if you extrapolate it to 36 you'd still get less than 1 fta.

In the lone Memphis season he got non garbage mins he took 6 FG and averaged 1.5 fta a night. And half of those 6 attempts were 3 pt shots so really he was taking 50% ft rate on his 2 pt shots. That's not a bad ft rate or soft by any means.

For a PF/C with his frame and athleticism that is a dreadful FT rate. It's also consistent with his overseas play. He has plenty of data to pull from at this point, it isn't like he is some big secret.

Good shooter, nice frame, doesn't like to mix it up and still gets lost on both ends.

At the FIBA World Cup in 2019 Bruno played 5 games, 27 MPG.

    That's 134 minutes total.

He got to the FT Line ONE TIME.

Say it with me: BRUNO IS SOFT...

He has some talent as a shooter and is still potentially valuable, but you guys need to adjust your thinking on what this kid is going to be. We better start hoping he becomes a defensive ace that can stand in the corner and knock down open threes. That is his ceiling, imo.

Harden takes 22 FGA and gets 11 fta.

In 23 mins Caboclo took 6 FGA and averaged 1.5 fta. That is 25%.

Harden is one of the most prolific ft shooters in the history of the NBA getting half his ft rate when you are a stretch big means you arent soft or afraid to mix it up.

Does Tucker hate to mix it up? Dude took 0.7 fta attempt per 36 last season.

Bruno shoots about 80% less free-throws per36 compared to Harden. Think about that. With his frame and athletic ability.

Tucker is a great example of Bruno's offensive ability. Thank you for pointing that out. Hopefully Bruno can defend as well as PJ someday.

    Bruno Career FTA PER36: 1.9
James Harden Career FTA PER36: 9.2

Again, about 80% less free throws PER36.

Yeah so shooting less fts can be a function of your role rather than you being soft or afraid to mix it up. His ft rate is around 50% of his 2 pt shots or 25% of his shot attempts over all, that isnt soft at all I dunno why you keep insisting that lmao.

I'm guessing this was the signing that was delaying Harden from signing his extension. Now Patrick finish this one first and then Harden stays.

And his role is a function of his skillset along with his tendencies.

He does not like attacking the rim. Anyone that has watched him can see this. He shies away from contact, 100%.

Check out Christian Wood's FT rates in garbage time with a similar role to Bruno.

6.6FTA PER36 for his career. His rates were ALWAYS high even in garbage time, at every single stop. He drives to the basket for contact 300% more than Bruno does. :D

is he a Rockets Legend™ because he was a Rocket previously, then not a Rocket, and now a Rocket once more?

    need a ruling

If Bruno puts it together he will not stay a Rocket because we don’t have room to pay him. It’s like priming a pump that we will never get water from. If the contract is not extremely team friendly over an extended period of time, then part ways with him. Years and years now with little payoff.

Of all the weird fetishes fans have had over the years with certain players, Caboclo has to up there as one of the least sensible ones.

I'm willing to give him another shot to see if he can build on that 18-19 season in Memphis, when he was a competent rational player. He's only 25, and the upside is still there. But if he can't crack the rotation this year with a new coach willing to play young players, that's probably it for me.

MDA being gone means this kid might actually get some chance of developing.

Bruno is one of those guys where you look at him and go...damn, now that's a basketball player...prototypical build, tall, long arms, athletic...

Then you watch him play and go "This guy is 2 years away from being 2 years away..."

    Like Robert Horry?

Corner 3 + rim and perimeter protection.

    I'll take it.

I'm not high on Bruno but I would be ecstatic if he would develop into a rotation player.

True but that's kind of what Christian Wood looked like a few years ago.
