[Berman] Bahamas Rockets are back

Hey it's a Texas thing, the immunity I acquired helped me survive the jungles in Asia, Deserts in Middle East and somehow manage the cold in Alaska and Colorado. But as much as I love our state, I also know there are some better places to visit for a cocktail.

I guess Milwuakee and Cleveland are a larger market than Houston then. So Houston isn't the 3rd largest city in the US? I don't think the city of Millwuakee is more capable of making enough money to cover the luxury tax than the city of Houston Texas. Especially during Covid times.

Cle isn’t currently in LT. They were when they felt they had the team and players worth it. As did we. You just assume we would have gotten better players without any knowledge that better players were actually interested in coming here. Teams pay LT when they see it necessary. They don’t pay it in perpetuity. Furthermore, Dan Gilbert’s net worth is 30 Billion. Tillman’s is 5.6 billion.

Bima did a review over the summer of our MLE signings over the years, including during Fertitas time. Only one year did we not capitalize. And again, you just assume because there was better talent that they wanted what we could give them, or that they even wanted to come to Houston.

I for one don’t blame management for not wanting to pay Ariza 15 m a year and thinking we could replace him with two budget players. He didn’t play that well in the previous playoffs.

that isn’t to say they didn’t make mistakes. They were wrong about CP3, but he looked physically washed and they had to make a decision. That’s how sports leagues work. It’s not NBA2K.

The Houston Rockets are listed Number 8 on Forbes of NBA Franchises. Yes 1 right bellow Brooklyn. They make enough off of revenue to pay the Tax. This is also after the whole China Fiasco with D Morey. We could have paid it, should have paid it and chose not to pay it.
