I never claimed that I don't practice double standards. I don't remember posting anything on that thread, but I did find that pic funny. I don't know, maybe I did overreact, but at the time it made sense. The one of the Chicks criticized the prez, then they're being photoshopped into a pic with they guy we are going to war with. I don't know, I guess it had to do with the fact that there are actual people out there who do think the Chicks are Saddam sympothizers as well as anybody who disagrees with the war. The ring of power thing just came out of left field and nobody really thinks Bush is comparable to Sauron, except for a few crazies who nobody takes seriously. I wouldn't put the Chicks in the category of crazies, or anybody who speaks out against the war sincerely, but those people are called Saddam sympothizers, non supporters of our troops, or un-american day after day. I guess that one pic was the preverbial straw that broke the camels back. As for the King Kong's dong skit, as I called it in chat that night, King Kong climbes up a building and suddenly gets a stiffy right into an apartment where Salma "arrrgggggg" Hayek and Tracy Morgan are living. They have no idea what it is, but try to toss it out thinking it might be something like a rolled up new carpet hanging down form the apartment above. As they "play" with it, Jimmy and Horatio are cops on the roof of another building commenting on the facial expressions of Kong. Very funny, very crude, but who cares.
"I DON'T CARE WHAT CELEBRITIES HAVE TO SAY" But I think what Lance said is funny, and I happen to agree. ...and STILL don't care what celebrities have to say. They are simply people with opinions just like the rest of us. Their voice is no louder than yours or mine, nor should anyone care more or less.
OK just checkin' . I was honestly curious because I just thought that they were both way over the top and didn't know what made one different from the other. Also, it sounds like I'm missing some.."interesting" skits on SNL.
