If the Rockets are serious about VC they should try to get Yi as well. It would be a brilliant move financially. They would make so much money with Yi and Yao on the same team

Then we will have a softest front court in the league.

with VC, I am sure rockets has a hope to win the title. As a sg/sf, VC is just a little behind KB,LBJ,Wade. He is just like a solid Tmac

Keeping Tracy, whether he plays or not, doesn't make us a champion this year either. Maybe not even a second round participant. He's broken down in a way that he's obviously not going to get himself straightened out this season (if ever). The bottom line is that teams aren't going to give us their best pieces for McGrady/Artest. We will have to take A) lesser players, or B) longer contracts. I'd love to get a star player who is still going to expire in 2 years, but that is not going to happen.

I think Morey will move Head and stand pat on the rest. After this season plays out, there will be major changes over the summer if we flame out in the playoffs again (which is certainly looking likely).

    No thanks to VC.

I'd deal Tmac + filler for VC + filler. We don't really have a perimeter threat. VC can shoot it up.

You think Tracy wants to play in Vince's shadow again? Ok...

My guess is you guys haven't watched Vince play this season. He's a way better player than Tmac this season. Usually, I don't rely on stats to prove my point, but in this case they actually do explain how much better Carter is outperforming Tracy. And those stats aren't misleading either because Carter looks good on the court.

Tmac is done for the season. He cannot do any of the things he could have done. If it were last year, I would never do a Carter for Tracy trade in a million years. But, at the moment, a Tracy for Carter deal would be highway robbery. Hell, a Tracy for a second tier player like Bibby (if the salaries matched) would still be grand larceny.

??? shane isn't causing any chemistry problems.......ron is, but he's speaking the truth, shipping him solves the public drama, but it doesn't solve
    Tmac or Rafer.

Then don't you mean that if it were last year, you wouldn't do a Carter for Tracy trade for one year? ;)

I like the idea of trading Tracy for Carter and Eduardo Najera. I think that would really interest New Jersey, being able to get out from under their two longest contracts (other than Harris, who is a keeper).

I'm pretty sure he rather play with his cousin than with Artest.

the carter-for-mcgrady trade sounds good to me, if we can pull it off. we'd be better off overall after the trade.

carter can still play some ball. even if that means we lose contract flexibility, it's worth it. 2010 most likely will be fools gold for us.

maybe mcgrady will recover to some extent and be able to help a team. but people have gotta understand, as things stand right now, we simply don't have time to wait for that to happen. it's not halfway through the season, it's technically 5/8 already. 22-win streak happens once in a lifetime, can't count on it. plus we don't have the chemistry remotely possible to make it even a 5-game winning streak.

how much confidence we have that they'd pull a convincing win coming thursday when play sacto?
