Hedo's contract isn't that bad for a chance for Dwight. Take on $12m this coming season with a $12m player option for the final season of which only $6m guaranteed.

We need one more pick to package with the Dallas pick and the Lowry pick. It would be nice if someone stepped up with a pick for Scola and flat cap space, no player back. That way we could hand Orlando Martin, 3 picks, and 3 of our youngsters, take back JRich and Duhon and get 'er done.

    Why are people complaining here?

The Rockets (1) are pursuing a Dwight Howard trade and have been for months, (2) are not going to bring back Camby as a free agent anyway. So, if the team gets a pick (likely to be a somewhat mid- to low-level pick with protections and such) for Camby then routes it to Orlando in a Howard acquisition, I don't see why that's worth complaining about.

I just want to see the look on Dwights face after he realizes he is coming here or better yet what comments he will have about this organization. FAIL

Great so in a year, when we lose Howard, we can say that we have less young talent, NO ****ING PICKS, and the ugly contracts of JRich and Duhon.

    Solid plan there buddy.

I still believe even IF he is traded to Houston and then wants to leave after the season to sign with a team. He will still need a SnT to get the monies he wants. So, the Rockets can get something out it that will help the team.

We'll know after the trade, if the trade actually happens, depending on which pieces are included and which ORL player comes back.

If you can't see why a lot of people don't want the team gutted and all our picks traded for a 1yr rental then I don't know what's wrong with you.

Yes, imagine that and have Dream at the airport to greet him to H-Town.

hmm the nets offered their own future picks which would be worthless since Howard would be on the team, but with howard saying over and over he doesn't want houston, orlando should give our own future picks a serious consideration. They could be top 3 if howard leaves.

    In all,
toronto lotto pick, dallas pick, two of our own future picks with 'innovative' reverse lotto protection, lamb, jones, patterson, martin and three free training sessions with the dream. But wait if they call now....we will take back turkeyglue and 'reddick'. Other than L.A who can top that?

    1. Lets see the actual trade before complaining about how "gutted" the team is. It is possible to field a competitive team with sufficient depth even after trading a large portion of the available assets.

    2. I don't see how the specific item reported-- that HOU wants to trade Camby in a S&T for a pick to send to possibly send to ORL-- is worth b****ing bout. 38-year-old Camby wouldn't really have a future in HOU anyway if they just keep all of their young guys and move forward with rebuilding.

    3. A lot of the pieces traded are going to be duplicative of what they will likely keep. For example, the Rockets have White, Jones, Patterson, Motiejunas and Leuer among their young PF. One of the prospects that somebody likes wasn't gonna get any playing time even if even you didn't trade any of them. Taking, say, 3 of them away from the bunch and they'd still have plenty of depth at the 4, especially considering Scola is still around.

Lets say that the Rockets trade:

    (a) the Toronto pick,
    (b) the Dallas Pick,
    (c) the "Camby pick" (trading one of HOU's own picks is complicated given the fact that they traded away a lotto protected pick in 2013, will have to trade a "first available pick" to ORL, which most likely will not happen until 2014 but may be years later);
    (d) two of the 2012 draft class (likely Lamb + one of the PFs),
    (e) Patterson,
    (f) Greg Smith
    (g) Morris,
    (h) Martin.
    (i) Shaun Livingston

in order to take back Dwight Howard and Jason Richardson (or alternatively Duhon+QRich or Hedo, but a Hedo deal will have to wait a while before Livingston can be packaged salary-wise).

This can still leave HOU with:

C: Dwight Howard; Omer Asik (if CHI doesn't match)
PF: Scola, Motiejunas, one of Jones or White
    SF: Parsons, Zoran Dragic (?)
SG: Richardson, possibly a re-signed Courntey Lee
PG: Lin (if NY doesn't match) or Aaron Brooks (if NY matches) + a low cost backup like Machado.

You can win with this and still got plenty of young players with upside left.

Because we might be mortgaging the future for Howard and losing Dragic has gutted our backcourt of pg talent. We are upset that if Howard was your target than you couldn't let Dragic leave. Dragic would have made retaining Dwight much more probable. WE PISSED OFF

    1. I'm talking about the team after Dwight leaves.

    2. No one is b****ing about a S&T with Camby. You get what you can get. I'm talking about giving the Magic everything we have for 1 yr.

    You're just trolling...

Does anyone remember that video of Morey and the Knicks GM during the McGrady trade? The KnicksGM kept making offers and Morey would just stare at him then the Knicks GM would say "You want more?" This seems alot like that only this time Morey is the one getting suckered.

AT SOME POINT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH MOREY!!!!!

We are going to need some assets/draft picks to field a team Howard will want to resign with.

    You might.

Lebron only cost two first round picks.

Ive never heard so much b****ing before in my life. When one of y'all get to own your own team then you can do whatever you want, until then shut up and wait to see what happens.
