I would ask the CIA head. It's just crazy to me that that's not "the investigation"? But I assume it would be top secret and the aren't talking about it. That's what make this "investigation " so stupid. Who did the killing and why but no one even mentions it. ( were the attacks coordinated worldwide or coincidence because of the date, was the movie a coincidence too, was it a false flag set up by chicken hawks, because it could be) WTF was the ambassador doing?

It was a secret CIA mission under the disguise of the state department. If they did get to the bottom of it, its probably classified. Since the truth there or more focus on it doesn't hurt but would take focus away from the state dept and Clinton, GOP has little interest from the beginning.

Presidents at that level lie all the time. I think that's implicit though I think voters look more for authenticity than trustworthiness. That allows them to make tough decisions without overburdening citizens of the consequences...

I can't trust Hillary as far as I can throw her, but she's done a lot at a high level, which is something I can't say for almost all the other candidates.

Hillary will get to the bottom of this conspiracy once she is elected.

So, all the 'public' wrangling about Benghazi is political theater but whatever the truths are are probably state secrets. And everyone who knows anything is required to lie in the line of duty, er, act like that's not really the issue that needs looking at.

    What a waste of time.

What exactly are the republicans trying to prove here? That Hillary let the ambassador on purpose?

No, I don't think it's cruelty. Certain right-wing puppet masters correctly saw an opportunity with this embassy business and the narrative goes something like:

    1. Hillary was grossly negligent as Sec. of State. She ignored pleas for help while distracted with more selfish agendas.

    2. Once the embassy was attacked, she & B. Hussein Obama quickly concocted a lie that would distract everyone and deflect blame from them.

So she's not pure evil and letting a guy die, but to the people whose motions are controlled by the machine, she is both dangerously incompetent at matters of state and simultaneously dangerously competent at political maneuvering. It's quite a trick, but anyway, you can see why they hate her if they believe this.

This Benghazi campaign feels so much like the Iraq
war campaign. The rhetoric that came from Bush prior to
the Iraq war was an innuendo to ad-nauseum (suggestive hints to infinity).

I think he knew if he littered his speeches with enough words like "Iraq",
"9/11", "terrorists", "Saddam" - all within the same sentence, paragraph,
and speech - that it would hit home the idea that Saddam was planning some
sort of 9/11-like terrorist attack or better yet that somehow Saddam was
responsible for 9/11 or associated with the terrorists associated with 9/11.

The amazing thing is he never made the direct connection, just a sort of
implication for people to infer what seemed to be the obvious, but somehow
    that's how it worked out.

Bush, the news clips, and others in his administration drilled that rhetoric
home, and I do say it was successful. Up until 2013 I was still hearing from
people that "we were attacked on 9/11" in regards to the Iraq War.

That is exactly what the GOP is ceasing on here - "Hillary", "terrorists",
"secrets", "lie's", etc. They are attempting to win this ad-nauseum.

Why politicians choose to lie, instead of just being truthful is beyond me. Americans are very forgiving. Hillary brought much of this upon herself. Mistakes were made leading up to the attack. But, not enough for Obama to lose the election. Just be honest about what the attack actually was. These politicians will do anything to stay in power. Being dishonest when they don't need to be.

It looks like Hillary will get through all this and get elected. But she made it so much harder on herself.

Republicans. Democrats. I'm tired of all of them.

Would love to see any evidence of Ms Clinton lying about Benghazi. Or the president for that matter.

8 separate investigations have found no evidence of any kind of lying or cover up.

Negligence? sure, stupidity? sure, but no lying.

    As Ms Clinton said;

"I'm sorry that it doesn't fit your narrative, congressman, I can only tell you what the facts are"
