When you have to bring up 9/11 -- which is certainly not relevant to the Benghazi discussion -- you know you have lost the argument. You need to learn to stay on topic.

have you gone out and interacted with the general public much at all. there are a lot of dumb and/or simply bad people out there. i have (i just looked) 1284 "friends" on facebook. some of the biggest meme generators on there that are apparently very informed in things like geopolitics, international finance, and needed social reforms.

The front runner of your own party is bringing it up. You must be getting desperate here.

Watching bigtexxx flailing about in this thread is almost as comical as watching Gowdy dig the GOP a deeper hole.

I think we need another investigation on Benghazi; except the next one should be on the waste of taxpayer money by the Republicans.

My point is that people, to me, have become much more self-centered- well, maybe not that, but they're more willing to broadcast their self-centeredness. And it's become more important to justify one's stance than be right.

    the cherry on top!

BENGHAZI Head Witch-Hunter Trey Gowdy Nabbed Using A Private Email Server

It’s difficult to be happy about something that in all reality just adds to the sheer ridiculousness of the BENGHAZI! witch-hunt; something that shows an hypocrisy unlike any seen in a Republican since…yesterday. Yet it can’t help but be just a little bit satisfying to know that members of the BENGHAZI! Attack Force Derpa™, including Chairman Harold Watson “Trey” Gowdy, are in fact hypocrites of epic proportions.

In a stunning revelation from Alternet, Trey Gowdy runs his own domain name from his own server. When questioned, Gowdy said nothing:

democrats don;t blame terrorists. They blame a video. Also, the notion that Republicans don't blame terrorists is moronic. They where the ones who called out Hillary on her lie and did blame terrorists. In fact a large part of these investigations is to figure out why Hillary didn't blame terrorists (Do you know the answer yet?). Hillary was the one who went to one of the victim's parents and said they would find and bring to justice the person who made a video.

How stupid do you have to be to post something like this? Of course a politician can have their own server. The issue is passing around top secret info and doing government business on it.

Doesn't the probability that this was a double-cross interest people?
How does an ambassador get that exposed to unfriendlies unless he thought they were friendly. And if so, how did that happen? Usually someone flips for money, if so who paid it... you know the people responsible.

The only way to know is either by asking Chelsea Clinton or some Russian or Chinese hacker who had access to Hillary's e-mail.

Pretty much explains what the committee was after - and it is not accountability.

Don't forget the embassy bombing in Beirut that killed some 63 people just a few months before that.

For me the crux of the issue has always been Clinton and the Obama administration blatantly lying to the American people about the cause of the attack. It was utterly reprehensible, done solely for political benefit, and for that there should be accountability.

I personally don't have any grievances with the email issue or any of this other mess. The primary issue (the outright lie to save face in the election) is getting lost amongst all that other crap and still has not been adequately answered for.

If Clinton can lie to the American public so easily as Secretary of State, why should she be trusted to be honest as President?

I expect that a minority of the American population "trusts" Hillary. And we/they don't need a congressional committee to prove it. Doesn't mean they wouldn't elect her over the clown show that is the Republican primary field. Keep in mind this is the same general population that has like <10% approval rating of congress yet re-elects there representatives over and over again. People constantly vote against there own economic interests and get behind spending trillions on a useless war because someone convinces them the government is going to take away their guns, the homosexuals are going to infect them with gay, or arab terrorists are going to come bomb the New Braunfels post office.

Clinton lied, Bush lied, Obama lied, etc. I'd be more surprised if the government was actually honest with the American people. Do you really think the general American public have the critical thinking skills to see through well orchestrated government lies?

McMark, are you really that charitable? His email server story gave me great schadenfreude.

Other oldie but goodies: some of the main culprits waxing all moral about Bill Clinton's blow job were having extra-marital affairs; gay GOP congressmen leading their followers against gay rights; All the GOP war chickenhawks like Cheney etc. who avoided the draft; or went Awol like Dubya.
