All reports in training camp were so glowing that he had finally turned a corner in his career, was working hard, and going to be a real star.

I drafted him in fantasy even.

    Damn, so sad.

I would agree with you except for the fact that this was apparently an act of passion... which tends to happen when women and feelings are involved... nature of the big irrational beast that is "love", imo.

    Here's a video of Ocho Cinco's reaction...

R.I.P. Chris Henry. Some things are just senseless. Hope his kids realize their dad was turning his life around for them, it was just cut short. The Bengals team, staff, and fans will rally around that family.

    Man, that's rough to watch.

Knowing the kind of guy Chad is, it's always unsettling to see the jester turn so somber.

They died a different way but this reminds me too much of the Sean Taylor death.

Both had troubled past and seemed to be turning their life around.

Both of them died while being away from the team due to injury.

    Sad R.I.P.

It was nice to see him turning a corner and becoming a man.

    Such a bizarre tragedy.

Why do these things happen to the Bengals so much?

You've gotta feel for the Bengals family.....first their DC's wife passes away, and now this? I don't want to know how the fiance feels now, since she's the one who drove the truck while he was back there.

I think the Bengals makes it to the AFC Championship at the very least now. Seems like every sports team with a tragic death always overachieves greatly.

I'm interested to hear the details about how this happened. Typically, when someone is fleeing from you in a motor vehicle things were not going well between the two of you.

Who found him? Not the wife, right? I wonder if she even knew he even tried that? If its the worst case of knowing he tried to jump on the vehicle and she still bailed, that's either just cold blooded or will haunt her.

My mother has been watching the news all day and they said she was swerving back and forth to knock him loose from the back.

Plus the guy was in a cast from breaking his arm... so you know he didn't have any way of holding on well.

    Just a terrible story.

Edit: To the poster above, she knew he was on originally. Someone else found him in the road.

Of course this is all hearsay at this point.

Isn't there some kind of curse that goes with being on Hard Knocks?
