It doesn't matter if you win. It's how you play the game.

Yao should always be the first option if he has inside position and is single covered. This situation rarely happens nowadays with most teams trying hard to deny that. But when yao tried so hard to earn this opportunity, you have to reward him and the team with this best offensive option.

why doesn't it surprised that considering the poster's name, that he's a YOF?

tmac can get better, but in no way shape or form does he ignore yao. several times, he purposely waited for yao to get into position so he can pass him the ball in the post. stop trying to make it like they have a conflict now where tmac doesn't like passing it to yao.

I remember a time before yao when a guy played poor, we criticized him and moved on. Since yao has been here many new followers have seperated Yao from them team. I can't count the amount of threads that pop up about players not named yao being malicious.

I mean, its really sad because the new guys are so anti., it put other posters on the defense about the other players. I mean the rox won, landry was great, yao and tracy were below their standards and all is good. What happens? Trade Tracy. Bench McGrady. Rafer sux. Its really shameful because this board can be a very good source of bonding and information. What's sad is most guys haven't even played jr hoops and know jack about the game.

I'm not going to say I'm red, riley or jackson, but at least I played pro am and d1 and know its a little harder than it looks. Some of these guys are straight internet geeks that know nothing.

i admit tracy is my favorite player on this team (though landry could quickly supplant him). but i was a rockets fan before. i liked bob sura the most in 04-05. i liked hakeem and the crazy max during the championship days.

and it's true. before yao was here, we criticize everyone openly yet EVENLY. if hakeem sucked, he sucked. but i knew he will bounce back. if tracy or yao suck, i know they will bounce back. they're stars for a reason.

but if anything yesterday, both yao and tmac played below their standards (but still they contributed). but the win was all due to the bench and the spectacular play of our emerging star landry (we should campaign for him to be in the rookie game).

notice in the past few home games, ONLY landry's name has been chanted? he's the man right now y'all.

People appreciate it when someone comes in and is obviously playing hard.

Quite possibly the worst post of the decade

So you would rather have Yao score 30 and lose than have him not be the focal point in a game (a game where he is shooting poorly to begin with) and have the Rockets win?

This is a ROCKETS message board. Go start YaoFans.net and be done with it

Are you blind? Didn't I mention it's when yao was single covered and when he got position inside?

Thank you Blake......Yao sure has been talking alot to the media and its getting him in trouble.....He says the right things but he isn't as clutch when double teamed....He is a very good player but all to often, can be shutdown by inferior players.....He is horrible on the pick and roll and has no natural defensive prowess.....You don't have to be athletic to play good defense, you have to be a little instinctive and he has been suspect! Im not saying T-Mac can be abstained from ridicule but they both have faults and Im tired of bandwagon fans fighting between players. T-Mac is playing in pain and its probably 'Jumpers Knee' and that is a nagging and painful injury that anyone who plays basketball proficiently can relate. This is my first post and I'm tired of the T-Mac bashing. Yao is equally to blame for their poor play. Why can't Yao box out a smaller man.....or why can't Yao pen a man behind him while getting position for longer than a second???

No player is perfect. I just don't understand the mentality of someone who criticizes the team for a game plan/strategy that won a game.

I mean every hi-to game its easy to look at Yaos inability to keep a man from going around him. When Foster basically cancelled yao out, thas easy to point out also, but the rox won. They could have played better and trampled the pacers, but the barely won. The won though.

I don't care how many pts they scored, as long as W is at the end. Maybe clutch can reset the board and make sure he calls it Rockets Fan Forum.

Play less minutes to keep that injury at bay? Yes. Coming off the bench? Possibly. Bench him? NO. You don't bench your best player.

We need to try and trade TMAC for a point guard and some more athletes.

Yao is good enough to build the team around and its obvious Tmac isn't the player to lead this team to the upper echelon of the league.

The way i see it TMAC on the court other players perform under their levels.
Alston, Scola, name the one you want, he does gets assists and is good for him, but he seems to get those HIS way, and not Adelman“s way, which happens to be a great fit for his teammates.

Also he is still unable to recognize not to take shots and when to take them.

Yes and this clearly shows during the Jazz series where Yao was getting own on the offensive end by Boozer and the defensive end by Memet Okur while Tmac was dropping great numbers in just about every playoff game!

I am wondering how long it will take some people to bash Landry since he take many shots from Yao lately. ;)

I disagree with trading T-Mac unless we get something equal in return. Anyhow, I wanted to list that I hate Portland. Im happy we beat them last week Remember when they forced Minnesota to trade with them and they got Brandon Roy knowing that we wanted him...I remember watching the game last week and they showed that wrinkled faced dog of a GM Kevin Pritchard.
