Rockets wins 8 straight as soon as Amen’s injured. Eason as a starter first improves transition efficiency. His offensive rebounding and defensive toughness are actually on par with Amen’s, but Eason actually has a decent three-point shot. If Amen comes back and takes the starting power forward spot, it’s honestly pretty awkward—especially when their positive impacts are similar, losing a three-point shooting option is a downside. Amen’s advantages over Eason are probably his ability to facilitate, control the tempo, and finish at the rim. But with VanVleet on the court, thede advantages are diminished, and Amen’s strengths can’t be fully maximized.

I don't know what the correct starting lineup is.

Having Adams/Jabari/Amen front court bench is pretty nice though.

Amen played and started in the first two games of the winning streak. He's challenging for our best overall player in year two and won DPOY of the month.

He hit the game-winner against the Celtics. He's a developing star who won the job with his two-way play and will only get better.

The great thing is we'll be fully healthy and have all those players to use as weapons for matchups.

The greatest ability is availability and Eason has never been able to show that consistently. Thompson is a better cutter and finisher but being able to shoot is important in the playoffs.

Before Fred went down we where rolling. Weather it's Tari or Amen starting we won't be able to get to the next level till we get a pg who is better than Fred. We are a solid winning team with Fred but we are not contenders till we get a true superstar wing/guard.

    FVV, Jalen, Amen, Bari, Sengun

I still like Tari off the bench the most because he's such a spark. He'll play the same minutes any ways but I feel like he comes in gives you pure hustle and he's aggressive so doesn't take shots away from better offensive players like FVV, Jalen, Sengun, can just come in and cause chaos.

That lineup is a good mix of offense and defense.

Hard to win 8 in a row. However, none of the teams we beat had a winning record. Amen should start when he comes back.

Amen will rejoin the starting lineup. That is a fact. The question is who will start between Jabari and Tari?

Put down the pipe. This 8 game winning streak is against lottery teams except for the Suns/Magic. Amen is instantly a difference maker on offense and defense for this team.

Ime should have a short leash for any wing player that is struggling because of how much depth we have.

    Fvv
    Green
    Brooks
    Amen
    Jabari
    (4 shooters around Amen)

Give me a starting lineup that doesn't put the Rockets in a deficit to start the game. Seems like every game the Rockets have to climb out of a hole.

Honestly I wouldn't mind starting Amen along side Tari, Brooks, Green & Sengun. It keeps the Terror Twins together and allows Fred to be the 6th man. Van Vleet can still close out games if he has it going. This will be his eventual role anyway (key reserve).

    * However I would bring Amen off the bench his first game back to ramp him back up.

Who cares how many we won - it took a miracle for us to beat the Sixers the other day and they were a G league team. If Amen plays, there is no way Grimes puts up that many points. Amen makes us better - end of story.

Amen is a possible future superstar.

Tari is a probable future starter (somewhere) and mayyyyyyyyybe gets an All-Star nod once or twice. Sixth Man of the Year is more likely.

I don't know what the problem has been but the lineup of Sengun, Amen, Brooks, Jalen, Fred has been the worst performing lineup by a pretty big margin. If Amen comes back and starts and that trend continues something will need to change. I'm just not sure what that something is.

Amen will come back right when the schedule gets tough. He will get blamed by all the FVV sycophants when we lose games. FVV should be coming off the bench. Amen, Jalen, Jabari, Tari, Sengun to come out with incredible energy and build a lead. FVV could be rested and ready to protect a lead in the 4th quarter. It’ll never happen. The starting unit would be absolutely amazing on the defensive side of the ball and on the boards. Ime will never take that chance. I hope we win no matter what Ime does, but we could actually be ready to do some damage by playoff time with this starting unit.

Overreaction to an easy schedule, just like last year with Alperen. In my mind Amen and Sengun are our best players. So they should start, and we should fill up the rest of the starting line-up to complement them.

It's almost as though Jalen plays better when there's better spacing. But that's just an excuse right? lol The good news is, he doesn't need as much spacing as previous seasons because he can shoot a massive volume of 3's at league average clip, which makes it crazy to leave him open. Can't wait till we acquire a better shooter who can take 2-3 attempts off his hands which improves Jalen's efficiency to excellent numbers, which opens up more space in the paint for everyone, which increases Jalen's drives and FT attempts.

Amen is not the problem as a player. There's some truth to the fact that something is lost when he plays, but he's the flat out best forward on the team so it can't be anything except fit. I don't think that was a fair lineup to Amen, Jabari at the 4 would have given him a rebounding and shotblocking partner and he was really starting to shoot just as well as Brooks before he broke his wrist. We're also just on an easier schedule right now, with a much better team and with an Udoka who has seen first hand infinite defense has diminishing returns. A lot has changed.

I do prefer Jabari over Tari in the starting lineup. I have no freaking idea why we wouldn't start the better shooter and bring the energy guy off the bench. I think the idea is for Tari to run the break with Green but it's not possible because Ime wants everyone to crash the boards, so we end up with one-man transition most of the time which is silly for a serious team.

The only duo on our team who can athletically achieve crashing the boards AND beating the other team in transition AND knowing how to handle/pass the ball in transition is the most athletic duo in the NBA: Amen Thompson and Jalen Green. These high octane players function best with a safety net: FVV off ball who only takes on PG duties if things are getting too messy, he's also very vocal with them which is great, it also makes Fred run rather than walk. I promise you this duo is not going anywhere and they will be the starting SG and SF next season and for a long long time.

While watching the game really felt like something is missing with Amen not out there, miss seeing him bend space and time out there.
