all depends if quitter and loser are contagious. If there’s a chance he’s contagious I don’t want him.

If he is coming cheap and replaces a player far down the bench, I'm okay with this. I would take the upside and PG depth.

If it works out, we get wins and he contributes great, if not we don't lose much.

y’all want another complete non-shooter, someone who has no heart and is mentally weak as well, to come join this team

The Rockets are not going to beat teams in the playoffs with their half-court offense. Their defense has to be elite and force turnovers that lead to transition opportunities where their athleticism can shine. Ben Simmons would be another chess piece on defense next to Thompson, Eason and Brooks, and his playmaking is a bonus that they could use. Plus, with his size, you can pair him next to a smaller guard and let him help cover their defensive weaknesses.

Will the Rockets sign him? No clue. But, the idea makes sense.

Ben is worth a flyer for depth. He does not work out no worse off than we started. We are losing in the fourth because we do not have bodies.

the losing streak is more likely and the likelyhood of us signing Ben is really low.

Only want him because of his height and ball handling. He needs to score only inside.

Like there's a huge difference between Ben Simmons @ $40M a year and Ben Simmons on a vet min contract coming off the bench a handful of minutes per game

Dude would be a secondary/tertiary piece like Steve-O. I don't see him negatively affecting our "culture" or whatever, nor closing out games.

In theory, Simmons works perfectly alongside smaller sharpshooter like Aaron + Reed (when he returns to form). In addition to generating turnovers + transition opportunities, Simmons would benefit on the boards as Rockets need to dominate OREB to generate 2nd chance points.

In theory, Simmons familiarity + skillset should be advantages in Ime system. But theory is not always reality + he is still a fragile headcase so my expectations are low if he is signed. But inbounding could be improved immediately so there is that.

I see no difference when the problem is his actual game and loser mentality, not how much money he’s making
