Is Morey about to loose his third star in three years for penauts? Cp for Westbrook, Westbrook and Harden forcing trades(results in almost getting nothing later). Now he mishandled Simmons and finna loose him for some Bs

... Dont have a subscription, but article starts with

"Ben Simmons was looking for houses in Houston not too long ago".. re Harden trade.

Also, lol Ben Simmons style? I get he's not a scorer or shooter so..... presumably he's going to want to play with some guys who can score points like Embiid or does he want 2 Clint Capelas and 2 Trevor Arizas next to him?

I chuckled, so is Simmons shooting conducive to anything?

If he just said, I want a fresh start, without throwing anyone under the bus.

The only thing i can think of is he wants a team built around him like the OKC Westbrook's just not have to do any scoring or shooting...???

Morey can look at statistics all he wants, but they will never account for players wanting to go awol and wanting to be traded due to whatever circumstances. This is his weakness and always will be

Morey adamantly fought NOT to make the CP3 trade ...

That was a case of Harden flexing his weight by going over Morey's head and demanding the team ship out a better player for his buddy Westbrook

We got reamed on all the picks bc OKC knew Harden put us in a bad spot, and they played their leverage masterfully

As for the other 2 deals ...
Morey was in Philly while Stone made both the Russ & Harden deals

I doubt the final Simmons deal will be so lopsided, mainly because Embiid's window won't be open much longer

I expect at some point, much like Harden to the Nets, Lillard will force his way to PHI before New Year's
With his personal trainer guy now on staff, and PORT going nowhere, the fit is just too perfect

How can something that you just said is beyond anyone's control be "his" or anyone's weakness?

It's just a background condition of the NBA and you will be on both sides of it if you stick around long enough.

Daryl Morey might get Fired, that Organization have no patience.

The Fanbase is mostly Frat Immature Mentality Loudmouth Fans. The Fans, Radio all blame players not playing hard.

The 76ers as a whole make Dumb Picks the last 10 years

    Nerlens Noel
    Jahlil Okafor
    Michael Carter Williams
    Joel Embiid
    Ben Simmons
    Markelle Fultz

It is crazy that Michael Carter Williams, Markelle Fultz, Ben Simmons all can't shoot

All Point Guards that aren't Star Players

Can't score as well as Giannis down low, won't even try to replicate Giannis' very average 30% volume 3 point shooting, and only shoots 50%... of Giannis' 70% from the line.

Has he ever thought of trying to emulate Bill Simmons? "Folks, here's Ben Simmons' tiers of NFL coaches ranked according to seasons of "The Bachelor" "

Part of me thinks that Ben next to KPJ and Green would be incredible

Part of me thinks it’s a recipe for disaster

All of me knows that nothing will matter so long as Rain Forest Cafe is in charge, unfortunately.

Simmons is an idiot. He has zero awareness or accountability. He still cant look in the mirror and see his own flaws. Just blames everyone else. Hes in a great situation with another young star with championship potential. His lack of aggressiveness and failure to really work on his game in the offseason is no ones fault but his own. He doesn't have a good reason for wanting out.

same here, if only we had a great coach and a great system that would give us an assurance its a great probability he'd worked here

Morey is to blame for some of this, I'll admit, but it's not all on his shoulders. Ben said he only wanted to play for Cali- teams, or more or less a contending team. Ben is not a great scorer or shooter, which is puts a clog in all of the plans. Because, no team wants a primary ball who cannot shoot, nor be 2nd go-to scorer. And, the opposing team is asking for a marquee player, along with draft picks. Nope.

If rumors are true, there are still several good deals on the table. I like the CJ/RoCo move, as the 76ers gain more depth and they get a bonafide #2 scorer, also RoCo makes up a bit of the loss of Ben's defense. Ben with Dame could be partnership that could get the Blazers over the hump with D'Antoni. Siakam is a pretty nice trade off for Simmons, as well. The T-Wolves, Beasley would be good return, but I feel that's the one deal I'm skeptical about, if Morey. They'd need Russell or Edwards, at least. The Kings said that Fox and Haliburton, even Mitchell to an extent are all off-limits. Fox, I completely agree, he seems like a career 20/25 ppg w/ 6-9 apg player. Haliburton w/ Hield is probably more likely. It would kind of defeat the purpose, if they are actually interested in Simmons.

The Lakers, nor the Warriors need Simmons in any capacity.
