So, where does an overrated, fragile “superstar” averse to shooting go when he’s disgruntled? Anywhere he pleases in the NBA. He has more sponsorships than conference final appearances. When he goes on date nights, TMZ follows. His talent is unquestioned, and his paycheck proves it, but to him, basketball ranks second to being a famous basketball player. Through his resting face of apathy, Simmons plays with the emotional depth of a Drake song. His game looks good on paper — a 6-foot-11 guard capable of defending anyone on the court and gobbling up triple-doubles — but beyond those pretty stats, you’ll notice the vacancy of learned skills. He lacks a jumper. And free throw shooting. And the desire to expand his game beyond the painted area. And thick enough skin to listen to the truth without dismissing it as hating. Other than that, sure, Simmons is an NBA superstar.
Hmm, I bet he's trying to be traded to the west so that he only needs to go to Philly once instead of 2 times per year.
Morey is just going to have to sell low or consider Simmons a sunk cost because with Morey at the helm, Simmons is an albatross. He doesn't fit Philly
Daryl Morey needs to just stop…Ben Simmons is done what u should’ve done is did all u could to get James Harden because with Harden and Embiid plus Kyrie doing his random sabbaticals and being anti-vax, Philly would probably be the favorite in the EC

I'm not sure why he continues parading that he will be a 76er this season. I would just state no comment and move on with it rather than selling some false narrative.

I understand the schadenfreude towards Morey (hell hath no fury like a woman scorned), but clearly Simmons is a complete mental midget in all this. And worse, an entitled, mental midget. After looking scared in the playoffs and refusing to be part of the game offensively... Simmons should have used Doc's comments as motivation to improve instead of withdrawing into his shell. I wonder other players think about Simmons and his attitude? Would he even be a good locker room guy? Would he be respected?
That would be fun to see. If they can't convince Joel that it's the best option for the club, they'll be forced to sell low. How soon the trade happens (or not happen) will all depend on Embid's patience. Doc and Maury will also have to do a lot of cowering and flattery to all the cornerstone stars and their agents.
