These nerve issues are likely more psychosomatic than physical. Good luck to the guy.

Not to derail the rag-on-Simmons fest (and he deserves it), but what about the Nets themselves -- you know, the guys who actually play?

If Harden's not right in the playoffs (and when is he completely right in the playoffs, honestly), the Nets could give Philly trouble in a first-round matchup.

The more the Nets shed distractions, the better they might get. I think they got a little better after Kyrie trade, and now that they have complete clarity on Simmons, they'll get better still.

Maybe, but Embiid tends to just devour those "bunch of role player" type opponents like the Raptors last year.

You mean the 7-13 record in the last 20 games has impressed you (only 2 more wins than the Rockets)?

We should offer to take back Simmons and some Suns, 76ers or Mavericks draft picks into unused cap room if we don't get Harden

This should be a lesson to all front offices to take character concerns seriously in the draft process. You can fix a broken jumpshot or a bad handle. You can't fix a guy who doesn't care enough to put in the effort and doesn't want to compete hard.

Pretty sure Ben Simmons shut himself down before the Nets could. The beauty of guaranteed contracts. I wish I could have a well paying job while I do the bare minimum to ensure I stay within the legalities of keeping my contract/job.

Interesting thought experiment. You are taking his contract and would seemingly give them young talent i guess. For picks while devaluing the picks that you already have from them. Somehow you could make that benefit the Rockets I am sure. I’m not sure how though.

Did he ever score more than 24 in any of those 42 games?
