Not to derail the rag-on-Simmons fest (and he deserves it), but what about the Nets themselves -- you know, the guys who actually play? If Harden's not right in the playoffs (and when is he completely right in the playoffs, honestly), the Nets could give Philly trouble in a first-round matchup. The more the Nets shed distractions, the better they might get. I think they got a little better after Kyrie trade, and now that they have complete clarity on Simmons, they'll get better still.

This should be a lesson to all front offices to take character concerns seriously in the draft process. You can fix a broken jumpshot or a bad handle. You can't fix a guy who doesn't care enough to put in the effort and doesn't want to compete hard.
Pretty sure Ben Simmons shut himself down before the Nets could. The beauty of guaranteed contracts. I wish I could have a well paying job while I do the bare minimum to ensure I stay within the legalities of keeping my contract/job.
