    Seriously
I was also thinking. . .well there are only 7 weeks left in the year
so . .. it better be WEEKS INSTEAD OF MONTHS

Coincidentally, the Sixers game is 'weeks away'. Of course he'll be ready to return after that.

For physical injuries, it's day to day.

For mental injuries, it's week to week.

Not sure if Ben Simmons is aware that Nets need him now, not few weeks from now.

Nets GM Sean Marks said on Tuesday that it's possible that both Ben Simmons (conditioning) and Kevin Durant (knee) might be ready to play in a week. Marks said it's not likely that either would be ready to play in the next four days or so, but left the door open for it to happen. "Depending on when they go, we got to see how they respond to days like today and we'll go forward with this," he said. "It's probably going to be tough playing in the next three or four days but we'll see how it all plays out. I'm certainly not going to bet against either one of those guys." Consider both Simmons and KD day-to-day and look for them to return sooner than later.

If he wants any chance to win the arbitration to recoup his loss wages, immediately playing so soon after getting traded wont help his case.

Either that or he is slowly rehabilitating from his mental health problems

Might be some truth to this, Mar 10th is not that far away. Still, he could just fake a minor injury for the game so I think it's just the team and Ben being safe...

Or rather they know it is a bad look if suddenly he's back and playing 30+ minutes. He claimed he was mentally ill basically and so we can't take that lightly. He at least has to fake like he was really mentally ill.

Being mentally ill does not interfere with playing.........he just has more anxiety than other players.

Kevin Love and Derozan are playing.

Of course you can milk that excuse to the end of days.

I think he is not mentally ready to face his old team which is alright I guess.

he needs to take weeks in order to make his mental health issues seem legit as well as avoid playing in Philly on March 10th

if he was traded and was all of the sudden immediately able to go, then a lot of people might call bullsh*t
