I know this might sound crazy but here me out. The Steelers aren't going anywhere with the team they have right now. Nowhere this year and nowhere in the near future. This is the perfect opportunity for them to cash in on a player with value and begin the rebuilding for the future. I know these types of trades RARELY happen, but next years draft has a few potential franchise qb's and with the steelers being 0-3 and having a great chance at a high draft pick, stockpiling even more picks can help them move up or fill out the rest of their depleted roster.

    Trade

Matt Schaub and 2 future 1st round picks(2014-2015)---> for Ben Roethlisberger and a future 3rd round pick.

You mean the same guy that threw a pick 6, fumbled a ball that was returned for a TD, and added another INT to the mix?

Doesnt matter what QB we have in place...the conservative nature of our offense will hold back any QB. And once the first turnover happens, everyone here will be screaming for someone else.

Not to mention, the Texans would be insane to give up 2 first round picks.

He hasn't been very good lately, and 2 1st rounders is too much

We already have an ELITE QB on our team. His name is Case Keenum.

Keenum is 10X better than the stupid Steelers QB who sucks.

He's not even worth two second round picks, especially with the next draft being stuffed with promising young QBs. Look, we have Keenum. Maybe the guy will wash out or maybe he's something special, but he deserves a chance to show what he's got, especially after his stellar preseason.

I agree that that Keenum deserves at least a chance. He showed a lot of moxey in the preseason, appeared cool, collected, and effective. And even better, he was mobile and accurate. I followed him closely at UH, he is a special talent. I am convinced that he can be effective at this level. I am absolutely convinced he could do better than Schaub. Talent trumps experience all day long.

On the other hand, I would take Ben over Schaub; actually, I would take most QB's in the NFL over Schaub.

    I would do it.

I would love to see us grab a Tahj Boyd next year. He has a strong arm and some mobility.

Roflberger is going to retire a Steeler.

The best chance we had at unloading Schaub was Washington before RG3.

Now, I can't imagine it happening.

He might die on the field behind that Steelers line

I could see Minnesota giving Schaub a shot, but the only way Schaub ever gets traded is if things go to utter **** here and we miss the playoffs (hope I didn't jinx it)

If only that would really happen. Big Ben would take this team to the Super Bowl IMO. Schaub can get you into the postseason and thats it.

doubt it. You need to have the no.1 ranked defense, like he had those seasons. there is been no outside rush. one turnover.

I would have a lot more confidence playing the Patriots or Broncos in the postseason with Big Ben than Schaub. His o-line sucks, lost his best weapon (wallace) and their running game is terrible. If he came here I would love our chances.
