Gotta love a team that lets its best three point shooter go and insists on playing guys who consistently chuck bricks in the clutch. Harden needed help last night. Casspi and Garcia are awful, I honestly believe with a better bench we could take the west.
Too bad we could not trade Asik and Lin for some solid bench players,Trashpi and Garcia are not cutting it and the PF position is still a issue.
He's only played in 18 games (injury I presume) and hardly gets enough minutes to judge his numbers this year. He shot 38% from three coming off the bench last year and over 40% most years of his career. I think a winning organization might help too.
I suppose Terry is the best at the moment. A lot of that thinking is banking on their shooting percentages averaging out.
Only injury was a minor one at the end of pre-season if memory serves. He was cleared very early on in the season. Issue was, he was told he'd be coming in as a microwave outside shooter and he's clearly not been able to do that. In his defense, he was apparently really working on his craft earlier in the season but he just wasn't able to make anything happen in very short bursts. What was very surprising was in the few mins and games he was playing in, his notoriously bad defense was pretty average if not slightly above. But since the deep ball was not working, really no reason to play him in place of who's on the floor at the 2/3. And that's why the Cats have Neal & Ridnour now... My guess is that he'd fare no better than the last once-heralded sharp shooter the Rockets picked up at the Cats doorstep. But he is capable (as inconceivable as it seems) of playing good defense and maybe a change of scenery would help breathe life back into his 3pt shot. Lord knows, when he was hot last year, he was lights out. Just DON'T let him bring the ball up the floor
Agreed, especially that last statement. All we need is a fundamentally sound bench that can shoot. Why we are trading away 3pt shooters baffles me.
