Ben Carson's spends a tale of black overcoming "violent past", no one can find the "violence".

I said it elsewhere: he's black and his supposed story shows how the blacks who have not succeeded really are lazy etc., because if he could do it, why can't they? He's proof that blacks have only themselves to blame. That's just my hypothesis on what his appeal is.

 

I can't look away from the trainwreck.

Kudos to the woman interviewing him for not bursting out into laughter 3-4 times during that trainwreck of an interview.

I'm starting to believe he doesn't know he has been fabricating stories. Maybe a mental or brain problem. Need a neurologist to look at that head of his.

 

This guy is supposed to be an outsider. He's supposed to be an alternative to the traditional politician. Turns out he's a bs artist, just like most politicians.

 

I have come to the conclusion that you almost have to be wired to be full of BS and ego to willingly spend the time and energy to run for President as an outsider. There are some insiders that it has simply become "normal" to them to live that lifestyle but they are very divorced from reality living in the biosphere of Washington.

 

My gosh! Any grief he gets for what he says, he's brought on himself.

I think Carson is a super smart guy who's mind probably got bored with reality and has created this semi-fantasy world in which he has retreated so deeply that he thinks his fantasy world that his mind has created is real.

 

I think Major is right. Carson is a little bit psychopath I had a long time daily association with a full blown narcissist which is in the similar spectrum and they always tell stupid unimportant lies to make themselves look better to the point that I think they don't even know the truth anymore.

Some scans show that narcissists and psychopaths brains are a bit different.

There is a continuum and anyone running for president has to be so self confident or have such a high position of themselves as to be somewhat narcissistic.

It would be interesting if the journalists start interviewing folks at the medical school about his work there.

 

Damn, it's kind of disturbing.

1. Serious question: why did he get so mad when she CHANGED the course of questions away from his comments to just innocuously ask about his education platform? Shouldn't any candidate salivate over a softball like that, inviting their talking points? But he just doubled down on his whiny fantasy about persecution and media bias.

2. It's fine to laugh, but this Limbaugh/Hannity/Fox created narrative that all media that dares to criticize a conservative idea is automatically 100% liberal is really a terrible thing for our national discourse. It challenges the basic Venn diagram of reality for citizens of the country, splitting it up into con-conversant segments. Damage is already done but it only seems to get worse now. The GOP candidates will not tolerate anything but softballs from Fox news and AM radio.

Part of me bekieves he's lying, and part of me thinks that it's a mix of him paying and Trump paying media off to undermine this guy.


Either way, I don't care. This party is destroying itself. It's kind of funny to watch. Sad, though, because what little I knew of Carson's healthcare plan seemed to make good sense.
