It really is. However, it's much sadder that a bunch of hollier then thou people here came in here to judge an 18 year old kid without all the facts. This is a tragedy pure and simple. Nothing more and nothing less.

    My condolences.

There have been seen a lot of deaths at Bellaire High School since 2006.

Yeah I would agree. Plus as someone who made that drive home, most kids are in no shape to drive home.

I saw on another site that coach turgeon is paying for the families medical bills and funeral so that is great that all of this other support is going to go to the family ... Can't imagine losing my child like that

I had tears in my eyes listening to the father speak in this video. But this really makes me proud of Coach Turg, what a great human being.

I was watching an interview where the dad was questioning why his son would want to go to A+M, but if I was a recruit I think this guy is someone I would definitely want to play for.

Condolences to all families involved/affected. May Tobi and the lady RIP.

Though I also wanted to mention, DeAndre Jordan and Rockets own Jordan Hill will be the celebrity coaches for this game. Jordan for Bellaire and Hill for Yates iIrc.

Turge is such a good human being. I am more impressed with him every time there is adversity. He actually cares about these kids as people, not just as a commodity.

That is just way, way too late to be staying up till 5 or 6am... these kids are already busy in the days leading up to prom and what not and they get to party that late into the morning? I'd be surprise if Bellaire doesn't change it's policy next year. Or at least provide transportation or a hotel.
