I'm just saying that people are being undeservedly harsh. All potential causes and effects are valid discussion at this point, IMO.

HISD better get a ruling from the NCAA to make sure this isn't an "all-star" game.

It would be nice if the proceeds from the charity game also benefited the other victim's family.

Only graduating seniors are playing. Get HISD some credit.

Given that there is no way that toxicology could be in by now leads me to believe that ABC is talking out of their collective ass. It wouldn't be the first time.

Speaking of lawsuits, does the nurse's family have a case against Oyedeji's family?

Sure. You can always sue someone. It was possibly an accident but you can sue on accidents. However, considering there is a fundraiser to raise money for his funeral, I'm going to guess that his parents don't have a lot of money.

Why can't the schools provide bus rides home after a night like this?

At my high school, they bussed us back to the high school where our parents could pick us up, we were not allowed to drive home.

Doubt ABC just made it up for no reason. I think you meant to say "leads me to believe that it was cops talking out of their collective asses. It wouldn't be the first time."

I graduated from Bellaire several years back but its always been like this. Hell I drove back with my girlfriend and she was pretty loopy as well (and was driving) considering it was 5AM at the time.

But to answer your point, its pretty silly that they dont provide any sort of transportation from the afterparty.

Anyway I wouldnt be surprised if alcohol wasnt involved and if it was just sleep deprivation. You have kids partying till very late and driving home. Its a stupid system and in retrospect it was stupid for us to be driving home at that hour. I hope they fix that.

I remember actually we had a all nighter when I graduated high school about 15 years ago. No transportation was provided and I drove home.

Seems common sense that a school should at the least offer transportation if not make it mandatory.

I would. He called his father to let him know he was on the way home. I seriously doubt anyone who has been drinking would think to call their father.
