Let me preface this by saying I don't necessarily think that firing McHale is the answer to all of this team's problems. There's a lot of things that make a professional... Discipline, work ethic, dedication and passion for your job, responsibility/accountability etc. I feel like the Rockets don't have leadership. The coach and the veterans don't seem to possess strong enough personalities (Popovich, Pierce, KG, Bird etc.) to affect Harden (also his teammates) and how he views his craft. Obviously him needing to be affected to be a winning player is a whole another discussion... I don't blame Morey going for Ty Lawson - he got him for really cheap, but you need to have personalities that could guide these young players and show them how conduct themselves and more importantly how to WIN. As of now, I don't think this is a winning group of players even though they have a LOT of talent.
Man, I'm not sure if firing McHale is a good thing either, but clearly this season the players don't seem to be interested in playing underhim at all. I dunno, maybe he called Harden's GF fat or something, I'm just saying, he lost control of his players.
Harden is just another ROYCE WHITE! He was just playing the long game with a bigger payout.. He got his max contract, he got national recognition, he got 200M from Adidas - now he's gonna do a Todd Marinovich! McHale is inept, but I have no doubt he's TRYING to do a good job.. Harden ain't even TRYING! Screw him! Pack his lazy fools good butt up and ship him off - even if its pennies on the dollar - HE IS A CANCER! I wish it weren't so - but it is what it is!
this team definitely needs a leader that can lead by example. One that every single player listens too. right now the only thing every player follows is hanging their heads after one another
