Still cant believe Rockets did not sign Phil Jackson when they had the chance to 2 summers ago.

Especially when Jackson WANTED to coach the Rockets.!!!

Instead, Le$ Alexander, the dumb@ss, extends JVG's contract!

Phil's Laker would whup Rockets in the playoffs if it were on today even though Rockets have Tmac and Yao. Why??

I was referring to consecutive blown fourth quarters. The Heat game sits in the middle. Of the Knicks and Bucks games, only the latter 4Q was as bad as these three.

 

It's lucky thou Le$ is only a half dumb@ss, I heard JVG's extension is a non-guarantee 1-year contract. But I dont know if it's true or not.

 

Ok, I join this thread. Usually 4th quater meldown is the problem of the coach!

 

Two things a coach is typically evaluated, winning and player development.

JVG hasn't win anything other than a couple 1st round exit. If he cannot get this team deep into the playoff this year, he is definitely gone.

The saddest thing he has done to this organization has been overlooked by almost everyone, this guy has really destroyed the future of the Rockets organization. Just look at the player we have had since he was here! Has he ever developed any player at all in his life? Don't even think about Yao, who was a No.1 pick, was on his own path to his destiny.

 

Just finished "watching" Jazz-Suns games via NBA score board. Jazz trailed 11 pts starting at 4th quarter yet was able to grab a win in the overtime. This will definitely boose their confidence level.

What a great job Sloan is doing on the Jazz. I very much envy those Jazz fans. I'm sure the total number of fans of Jazz in the whole world is less than the number of Rockets fan in Shanghai, China. And It's undisputable Rockets possess more talents than Jazz does.

Than where's the huge difference? I'm sure y'all know the answer.

Remember, Sloan has never won an NBA title. What chance do we have right now?

Anybody notice how thick Van Gundy is laying on the excuses this season? Spinning the team's record in the press? Telling Snyder over and over "I just told you" not to foul, so everybody watching TV could see it wasn't the coach's fault?

It ain't just the players who tighten up in a contract year.

It is not just coach. It is also the management. The rockets management is a very impatient one. The are willing to sacrafice the future to gambling each year. They don't want to spend time to develope the young guys. They are boasting "Win Now" every year but fail miserably more often than not.

if Jeff still want to keep bonzi, steve Novak, V- Span foreveron the bench, maybe it is time the Rox fan should ask Jeff himself to be on the bench
today , we lost to Piston again, The Rox did well in preseason to certain degree bcs. of Steve Novak's 3 point shooting, why did Jeff keep continue to keep him on the bench??? i just have to agree that JEFF SUCK

 

And I just have to agree that you know nothing about the game of basketball other than what you see on television or off highlight clips.

Fact: Novak is as big a liability on defense as his 3-point shooting is godly.

Fact: Novak doesn't contribute much else other than his 3-point shooting.

Fact: Spanoulis is a turnover factory.

Fact: Spanoulis has a broken shot.

Well your problem is that you have no idea about basketball at all:

1)In the last game, Yao fought alone against the Pistons. He was the only reason why we stayed alive for such a large period. He wa doubles and tripled. But where the hell was our good shooter to make use of open shots?

2) Yesterday there were 2 guys at the 1: Alston and Head. Alston and Head can neither defend nor organize our offence: Alston runs the floor on the right side, stops far away from the arc, runs towards a teammate to give him the ball. WOW (sarcasm!). Head takes the ball, dribbles unnecessarily without running and just dares to pass the ball towards a teammate standing half a meter in front of him.
THIS IS NOT WHAT A PLAYMAKER IS SUPPOSED TO BE!
So what is the reason for Alston to get so many pt? For his 3 threes pg???

Concerning his TO: Stop talking bull****, please! He made quite a lot of TO in presaison due to riskfull passing and palming, so what? I prefer a guy with balls who dares to be riskful in some situations than Head or Rafer who run towards their teammates to pass the ball to them when they got next to them. And do you think he is not capable of dribbling? It is just that he made things which were not called in Europe but are not allowed here. But he is our best perimeter defender, the only guard with really good penetration abilities and an excellent passer!


It can't get worse! This team will definetely not be a championship contender this year. Ýao alone with a hiding McGrady can not get the championship! We should be happy if we reach the PO. By giving our both rookies pt, we have the hope to develop a perfect team claiming seriously the championship within the next 3 years!

jvg doesnt get a free pass because hayes is hurt. every team has injuries. even IF hayes was back, jvg will play alston over vspan, and padgett over novak...meaning the rockets may be better with hayes back, but not as good as they could be with a better coach overall. if fans use injuries as a crutch to forgive jvg then you dont understand the new NBA rules. jvg is missing the entire concept. even after losses he doesnt crasp the concept. he still is stuck in the ninties of "good defense beats good offense" but the new rules allow good offenses to offset any good defense. you could have ben wallace,artest,artest,bruce bowen,rafer alston and still watch teams score layups at will because of no hand checking and the refs. you fans and dawson and jvg dont understand this....gator does though i like his posts. the style to copy is jazz,suns,spurs,mavs of quick offense minded guards(vspan,tmac) and a good shooters (ming,novak,battier) clearly I am heavily against padgett ,alston, howard, snyder
