He is just an old school defensive coach.
His offensive strategy is just too dull to tolerate.
Vspan has no chance with he being the coach
In the current league he leads Rockets to nowhere.

Relax it's not JVG's fault. His strategy is good but the execution of th eplayers is bad. No intensity at all. The preseason games are even more physical, this one it's too soft.

Was watching the other games on ESPN, everytime I swticed to FSN, it seemed like I was watching WNBA.

    Why the game is soft?
Why Mr. Hustler Vspan has no chance to play ?
Why soft-as-always padget gets so many pt?

the offense is to predictable. Every team knows its give it to Yao and then to Mcgrady. When I think about some other good teams like the Bulls I cant figure out what there first option is (hint, they dont have one) so every player gets involved thus confusing the defense. The rockets offense is getting worse the more they try to pound it into Yao. They need more creators. Everyone here keeps talking about how good the record was 2 years ago and saying it was Barry and Sura, but it was mostly after the trade deadline when they picked up Mike James when the season took off like crazy. Just tell yourself, everytime Alston misses a three we could have had Head doing that. That trade for Alston will haunt this team for years.

The defense is soft, they're like playing balls with kids.

I'd like Span to be in this game to set the tone for defense.

ummm... if the coach, cant get his players to play better with all this talent the team has, then he is not good coach. JVG is a control freak, instead of just letting the players just play.

You're right about that. but it depends on the coaching style. that's why you see him standing always telling his guys to hustle.

I would actually like to see JVG add some cutting plays and more ball movement to his offense instead of everyone standing around while Yao tries to go one on one

Did it frustrate anyone that Padgett got so much playing time?

I mean didn't we get all these shooters to spread the floor for tmac and yao? Where were they today?

Where was novak today? Vspan has great D we coulda used it imo, luther has a pretty good shot too.

I want to know why padgett played the minutes that could have been given to juwan howard. Defensivly and Offensivly he would have been a better option seeing as padgett wasnt hitting anyway. Its just BS coaching.

JVG is not capable of running those plays. He is dumb as a rock and cannot think out of the box.

It frustrated me too. I thought Chuck Hayes did a decent job when he was in there, tipping balls loose and rebounding and staying infront of boozer. wonder why he got taken out.

My main issue with Van Gundy tonight is: Stubborness.

Look the strategy wasnt horrible, it was just rockets lack of execution, jazz super execution.

My thing is we arent fielding our best team for whatever reason.

Jeff mentioned pregame im not playing Vspan. hell teh way this game was going, that shouldve been an option but of course he made up his mind already.

But Bonzi...if bonzi is ready bonzi should play. I dont give a S*it if he didnt practice.....i can guaran F-in T you that a fat bonzi is already better than what padgett provided tonight.

WHY THE hell was padgett on the floor so much? he couldnt shoot. He played horrible Defense, he didnt do anything...WTFFFFFGGFsdfkllak;fjkl;fjklasdjkl;f
