Now, I like Coldplay. I'm really a '60's-'70's kinda guy when it comes to my music. Not saying I don't like some current stuff, but I never got into a lot of artists some of you like. :)

I think real_egal's is actually flying over your head and under the cherry moon with his response. Maybe you should re-read it and start thinking.

That's cause he is part of the old power generation.

You are playing SF2 the world warrior and he is playing CongoBongo on C64.

So if I'm reading this thread right, judoka acknowledged that he knew tinman was referencing MJ songs (which i hope most did) and then said Prince was better (which he is as a musician but MJ is the best performer EVER). He then attempted to reference Prince songs in the same way and tinman came back with like 5 times as many MJ references. Judoka gave in and tinman and SamFisher proceeded to use Prince songs to discuss china with real_egal (don't know what real_egal was doing  ). Also, Coldplay, NWA and Pac were mentioned.

I DON'T CARE WHAT THIS THREAD WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT, THIS IS MORE INTERESTING!! :D

Also did anyone catch Chubby Checker on the Early Show

WTF?...those pants?...that music?...and it looked like he was about to kiss that guitar player. He's a pioneer but what's going on here?

Trust me, he doesn't know either.

I am not a big fan of Prince or MJ, but I like MJ more than Prince. I prefer classic music and classic Jazz. Maybe because of the language barrier, I never pay too much attention to lyrics. I was trying to help tinman to find truth in China, but only realized he wasn't looking for help after Sammy's comment.

Question of the thread. They love T-Mac over there.

Sooo, they don't hate black people...(see: T-Mac, LeBron, Kobe, Iverson), just the ones that live there?

since he was the only one who showed up from clutchfans and treated me to the fine seafood cuisine, i'll take his authority on his country higher than some random person here.

and back to the purple rain comment, i witness china's pollution myself. its not a big secret, when the hong kong news tells you about the air quality as part of the weather report.(the haze isn't dark clouds)[IMG]

so i know then you guys will drop this well LA has bad pollution blah blah, I've been to both places, LA isn't half as bad. and on top of that, I live in one of the greenest cities in america, so don't even try to mess with the A-town!

even when I went to Macau, there was pollution in the air. they need to solve this problem, not for me, but for the people living there.

You asked a question and I answered it. I suspected there was something facetious to it but as the core of your argument is that there is a malicious attempt to posting cartoons I felt it was one that was worth answering.

But again I am addressin the core of your argument whether I believe there is some malicious intent in the posting of such cartoons. If Basso and Pgab were to post the New Yorker cartoon while they definately have different overall perspectives I still would find it hard to believe that Basso actually believes that Obama is Muslim terrorists. His motivation might be to poke fun at the crazy stereotype of Obama in some way but to that extent it would fall fairly flat as in some of his other threads that he has attempted humor at Obama.

As far as I can recollect I don't recall MadMax posting much about the PRC in either way. As far as him sticking his neck out he is a self-admitted Jesus freak and he has taken some strong stands on very controversial issues pertaining to religion and social issues. Why he has credibility is that even while he will take a strong stand he's not antagonistic about it and frankly that's something we all could follow. Also though given that he is a self-admitted Jesus freak who believes that Jesus was about compassion I find it hard to believe that he would have a malicious intent in regard to that cartoon.

Now you are worrying too much. I haven't seen any poster has denied the pollution problem in China, and no one has said it's not more serious than it's in US, and big cities are worse than small towns. As a matter of fact, some people I know who are weighing the options to further their careers in China or overseas, the pollution problem is one item in the cons list.
