I am not much of a beer drinker, but I have family visiting me here in Peru who are beer drinkers. So I decided to try some of them out to see what the big deal is. The big 3 beers in Peru are Cristal: Cusqueña: and Arequipeña: Out of the three I preferred Cusqueña. It had by far the smoothest taste out of the three with Arequipeña a distant 2nd and Cristal a distant 3rd. I have never been a big beer drinker but will be ordering Cusqueña the next time I do go out drinking.
My latest go-to beer is They had a limited edition come out I love their Amber and I love ESB but ... this beer is merely good. Very drinkable. Not near best in class.
Alpine Gouden Vallei - 8.5/10. http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/alpine-beer-company-gouden-vallei/170360/
Just got back from Bora Bora last week and had both of these Tahitian beers. Some images from google since I couldn't bring any back. The Hinano I would give a 7/10 and the Tabu a 9/10. Both were really good but the Tabu was a lot better and stronger (6% alc). Only problem is I cannot find anywhere around here that has it.
Drake's Aroma Coma IPA - 8/10. It's a little sweeter than I prefer, but it has a nice citrus nose and it tastes pretty good. http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/drakes-aroma-coma-ipa-67/108295/
Had a beer from Belgium last night, well like 5. Gulden Draak 10.5% ABV i was expecting it to be really gross, but i was surprised went down smoothly and got me hammered along with some whiskey.
Havent had an alocolic drink in years... Drank a dos x yesterday now i remember why i dont drink beer....taste like straight crap
The current release in the Heavy Machinery IPA series is "Half IPA." Mega-hopped and extremely low alcohol. This is for hopheads that like to session in the summer heat. 9.9/10
Red Racer IPA - Pretty good IPA. It is a bit of a lighter IPA but still has a hoppy taste. Kind of sweet too. Smooth finish, Ginja Ninja - made with ginger. Not really my thing. Definitely different but I don't think i'd want more than one.
Bud Light. It tasted better than horsepiss, worse than water. I vastly prefer Bodington's. It's ambrosia in a can.
Boulevard 80-Acre Hoppy Wheat Beer. 10/10 Easily the most drinkable beer I've ever had. I'm quite impressed with this one. It's the perfect summer beer. They advertise it as a hybrid of an IPA and a wheat beer and these guys have hit a homerun. I'm going to get more.
New Belgium's 2008 revival of Giddy Up - 8.2/10 It's pretty interesting, it's very light for being espresso infused, I guess that comes from the lemon peel. Lots of rich favors but surprisingly refreshing. Haven't had much like it
KBC Blueberry Wheat Ale 9.7/10 I love this stuff. I just found it tonight at Trader Joes in the Woodlands. I'd never heard of it before. Refreshing and tastes as advertised. Only paid 5.99 for a sixer.
I can agree with that. I actually had it at 9.5 and changed it. What I'd like to have is a little more body. That said, for a summer beer it's close to perfect, especially at 5.99.
I love blueberry anything and this beer is great but for me, it's one of those beers you can only drink 1-2 of a day.
