I still honestly don't understand your statement earlier.

I'm not a big animal rights guy. I think the byproducts of not eating meat or dairy vastly outweigh the pros. The majority of farmland is for food for livestock and contributes to deforestation and global warming. Meat industrial complex is the scariest kind of cruel, they just don't care about the animals (I wish they would just get on with vat-grown sides of beef). Health benefits are the number one reason in my opinion. It's a massive strain on society when people start feeling the affects of decades of meat eating. I think there should be a sustained effort to get everyone healthy rather than fat shaming.

Take three hours of your life and watch The Game Changers and Forks Over Knives on Netflix.

    5 star thread.
OP got not real answer and the tangents were great. The rivalries revived and new friendships created.

What about those that are eating only responsibly farmed beef that is grown by farmers who care about their animals and the quality of their products? Or people eating wild game that was harvested in a responsible, swift manner, like our ancestors have done for thousands of years?

Imagine thinking that farmers care about the animals that they execute. All farmers view their animals as a commodity that makes them money. The way they treat their animals is nothing more than a business model, and it clearly works because people like you buy into the idea that you can love and care for an animal that you eventually send off to have their throats slit when it's time to cash in on their body parts.

And by "harvested", did you mean "murder"? Harvesting is picking strawberries, not putting a bullet in an innocent animal's brain.

How long will people defend the strawberry holocaust?

I just had to triple check to see if I accidentally wandered into the D&D. I suppose this was semi-civil comparatively.

We've conclusively proven that beef fat is 110% safe and a bleeding/guilty heart is the cause of phantom pains.

Once again the power of science prevailed and ignorance took one step back into the shadows.

    Funny thread is funny.

It is highly interesting to listen to people who are 50% knowledgeable talk about the 25% of things that they have no experience with whatsoever except for the .10% of their week that they spent watching a youtube video.
