Yao will get better. There's no way he can get really get worse. It's also his only second season. Steve and Cat are awesome right now, and they should be--they've been in the league for several years now. The team, overall, has lots and lots and lots and lots of upswing. It would take a truly idiotic coach to foul that up--and I don't Jeff Van Gundy is an idiotic coach. The man drinks Diet Coke.
hopefully it will be next year. we just ned to add one or two more pieces. i like the way jj has been playing but he will probobly not return next year, given his history. trading eddie will help fil in some holes. boki and AG will be a fine offence/defence tag team at SF. and pike will help rest cat. what we will be looking for next year (maybe even at the trade deadline this year) ois a better backup PG.
I think it's still a little early to be talking about power houses. The Rox haven't really been tested yet, and our 5-1 record shouldn't surprise anyone given the relatively easy schedule so far. We've played: Denver (w) Memphis (l) Chicago (w) New Jersey (w) Orlando (w) Miami (w) Given our/their strengths and past records against these teams, we should've beat Memphis, but were expected to lose to New Jersey. Obviously we were expected to beat the rest of these mediocre teams. So anything but a 5-1 record would have been inexcusable. Let's see how we do against Dallas, Phoenix, Portland, and Sacremento. These are our toughest match-ups for November. If we win at least two of these four, and beat all the rest of the teams for November (Toronto, Philly, GS, LAC, Utah, and Seattle), we should be sitting at 13-3 by the end of the month. If we're 13-3 by the end of November, I'll be convinced that we definitely are a force to be reckoned with. The Rox will then be a power house, for sure. Go Rockets!
Well i see us beating the blazers and the suns and having a tuff time if not losing to Sac. & Dallas so we will be sitting with a 13-3 worry not
