Shannon and skippy repeating like parrots the same media narrative. Skippy still believes his beloved spurs are a chance. Lol

Skip is nutz if he thinks the Spurs are contenders merely by plugging in Kawhi. That team is ancient. Why do you think everyone is breaking down and getting hurt? It ain't bad luck. As a longtime Rockets fan, I've seen this before. Namely in 1998 when the Rockets were 41-41 because Barkley, Dream, and Clyde were simply too old to handle the rigors of an 82-game season.

I don't blame media skeptics. The Rockets DO have to prove it in the playoffs. But barring injury, does anyone really think they're not gonna at least reach a showdown with the Warriors? Who's gonna beat them in the West prior to the WCF? Even the 67-15 Warriors from 3 years ago had their doubters since they were a jumpshooting team and hadn't proven anything yet in the postseason. But no one thought they weren't gonna at least get to the WCF. Maybe Memphis would've upset them in the 2nd round had Conley not gotten hurt(the Grizzlies were up 2-1 in that series), but I don't remember a bunch of media types outright dismissing them the way some are doing with the Rockets.
