Like Bose, Beats are products driven by marketing.

For the same amount of $$ you can get much better products.

I bought a pair a few years ago off of ebay. Not impressed by them one bit.

I got the SOLO HD's as a gift...promptly sold them on EBAY. They suck.

Thanks for sharing the link though...for others.

This section on clutchfans is getting pretty good. :)

I got the over the ear ones for $50. Thought that was a pretty good deal but I'm not an audiophile...

    Whats your budget?

For $15, these are hard to beat.

Spend more, and you can get even better ones like these...

Of course you can keep going up...

    I use these....

They were $400 two years ago when I got them and I still use them. They are amazing so I did not regret paying a lot for earphones.. Now you can get them for $200 which to me is an excellent price. Sometimes they go on sale for even less. You can get a lower series in the Logitech lines and they are pretty good as well.

Also, as I said, I highly recommend Comply foam tips to use with whichever earphones you do end up with. They are very comfortable and provide excellent isolation. They come in different sizes (small, medium, small). Something like these...

I bought a pair of $6 studio-styled headphones from Big Lots and I like them a lot. No way would I dish out over $200 for the studio Beats.
