Is it not possible to go out and have fun AND work on his game? Does he really need to be in the gym 24/7? He's probably done this his whole career and he was runner up in the MVP race last year. I don't think we should care what he does in his free-time. Only reason this is all over the internet is because he's associated with a Kardashian.
I have no problem with him going out having fun. He's young and enjoying his money. I like that he has people looking out for him, and he isn't driving drunk. I'm sure when it comes to work , he will be ready.
Actually he sort of is, he's wasted, but he's not the one driving. You can have fun and still be safe.
It's the off-season.....let that man be... However with Lawson coming aboard and his demons, This is not a good look. Again it's the off-season, he just got another playmaker he asked for, got a New high profile gf, Addidas paying him $200m, and he just missed out on MVP.... Beard,go on and enjoy Urself.
Yeah we should compare him to the monkish ascetic lifestyles of his MVP peers like Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, Magic Johnson, etc ad nauseum.
What if Steph got drunk in public like that, what kind of father he would be to Riley? Think about Riley, James, think about the innocent Riley Curry, man! Think!
Well, while we're all getting upset over nothing, and over people getting upset over nothing.... I'll just throw this out there. How do you think everyone would be reacting if this was Howard in Harden's place? I have a pretty good idea. Best to just shake your head and roll with it.
I'm talking about setting example. Basketball players are heroes. Entire generation gonna grow up mimicing James and just because alcohol doesn't have negative effect to him, doesn't mean it's gonna be the same with others. Alcohol ruins lives, showing someone drunk and having good time is WRONG! Shame shame shame TMZ!
Look. There is not enough information one way or the other to really evaluate this situation. Dude is 26. He has the right to tie one on. If he does that here and there, fine. The question is, Does he go get s*** faced 2 or 3 times a week? If he does then yea, that is a problem. He is an MVP type player. His body is his work asset, not a stapler or laptop computer. As such there is some expectation that you take care of that work asset. Booze ages you. You drink a lot and get ripped a lot and that will take its toll on your body. You will slow down. You will not operate at 100% efficiency. As one poster said above, see Vin Baker. Dude fell off a map due to booze after being a really good player. I have no problem with him celebrating an event. My problem would be if he does this frequently. That doesn't make me some stick in the mud judgement guy. That makes me a fan that wants my team to win. That will be hard if our best player is prematurely aging his body.
Not sure if everyone's missed it but remember James is not driving, Ty doesn't have to quit drinking all together but he needs to stop making the decision to drive while he's drunk.
Let the man be. It's the offseason and he's with the BIG BOOTY Khlo$$$ Kardashian. Well deserved Beard. Keep doing yo thang!
