take off the blinders, he brought all this stuff on himself. I don't want to sound like a broken record, but ask non Rocket fans what they think of him. Then you'll have your answer.
people i know still got love for the guy and hope he's healthy next yr. they just think he's made of glass and can't make it through a season, which he hasn't done in a while. again, every tracy post goes around in circles. can we just sticky a tracy thread instead of just messing up the GARM? people are going to have their opinions regarding tracy. it's fine to agree to disagree.
This is more of the poster bashing Yoyo cause he doesn't believe yoyo's statements. If Yoyo saw Tmac mac-ing on someone than he wouldn't lie about it. I know people have opinions on Tmac, but it's not like people are mad at him for no reason at all. If they haven't figured out why fans are turning on them, then they think Bruce Lee is more famous than Michael Jackson.
Josephduyho03, Stop making this arguement. The T-Mac Haters don't get it. It's like you are trying to get your point across to someone who does not speak your language. I use to post the same response, until I went out of the country and had a disagreement with someone who spoke a different language. It made me think about all of the T-Mac Haters, how they just don't get it. NO MATTER WHAT IS SAID. They can't see how in Toronto he was young, in Orlando he didn't have any help, and in Houston he didn't have any help, as well. Yeah, the Rockets should have won the play-off series against the Mavericks in 05'. People forget that all they had was Yao and T-Mac, nobody else. How Yao faded in games 3,4,5,6,& 7. How Bobby Sura was hurt and Juwan Howard was out because of injury. Two of their top five players. People forget against the Jazz in 07', how no one else could score except T-Mac and Yao, how Juwan Howard couldn't score, Chuck Hayes couldn't score, and Luther Head was 0 for ever. How the Jazz ran three players at T-Mac consistently. The same way teams played Kobe, and he failed to get out of the first round until the Lakers got him some help!!
Millionaire Athletes, especially NBA players, macking on women who aren't their wives? this is so shocking! -Michael Jordan -Kobe -Patrick Ewing -Magic Johnson ... but not Tmac, he's a saint!
i don't know what the discussion was b/t yoyo and the other poster. but yoyo is like top dog in here, so i respect what he says. again, they're still opinions. i still got love for the guy, just like many rockets fans still do. yes, there are those who dont like him now. but it is what it is. the fact that EVERY tracy thread turns into this is pointless. either sticky one thread so we can discuss everything. i can guarantee the next tracy thread that can be about whatever will just returns to the same arguments. that's all.
Yoyo said he has evidence of Tmac, tee macing. Then TOF believes that Tmac, their God and Dalai Lame-a, would not do this!
Clutch is the TOP DOG never forget that I'm just a pound puppy compared to him but it may come off as I am a tmac hater from this thread but as you have seen in the past I've defended him on many occassions too. His ability and talent are without question if he is healthy he is the best player on the team. I've had issue in how he has gone about and conducted himself off the court and in ways on the court too with his effort and quite frankly, his immaturity. My deal is with tmac lovers not recognize his faults and trying to place the blame on anything and anyone except Tracy himself. I know we want to hold our favorite players to a higher standard, but we shouldn't they are human just like the rest of us and they make the same stupid mistakes when its so obvious what they should do. Thats what my issue with bigreg was that he didnt feel Tmac was responsible for anything that he did and it was ok...thats completely not true at all. I was soo frustrated seeing mcgrady come into camp out of shape, this was going to be a career defining season for him either good or bad....well you know how that ended up while no one can guarantee that he wouldnt have needed surgery if he did properly train and rehab over the summer and shown up in shape, chances are that history of this type of surgery has shown that he would have been at 100% had he put in his due diligence. He sometimes get a lot of unnecessary hate (like I do not like it when people tend to completely forget all that he has done for the team when healthy) but you have to admit that a lot of the hate he gets he brought on himself. i posted last summer about his trip to cancun no one really cared then of course and it was glossed over. (note: t_mac1 i know you are a huge tmac fan but have at least criticized him too about his actions in the past season...so not directing the above rant at you) right now? i hope mcgrady is traded because his contract is more valuable to this team right now than his actual playing...the team is not going anywhere next year without yao and having lost artest. I would rather see him move for a piece that will be used going forward once Yao returns because chances are unless mcgrady accepts a MLE deal or less next season I do not picture the Rockets bringing him back considering his injury history and how he crossed the coaches and front office here the past season.
yeah bigreg is married. so what bigreg? how does that change that Tmac was in cancun with some chicks? either bigreg is the ray charles of tmac fans or he's completely lost reality about rich married athletes. i'm not saying if tmac is doing right or wrong, that's his personal life. if bigreg stays faithful to his spouse that's good, but bigreg is not a guy who gets paid 23 million bucks a year and has women throwing themselves over him. if yoyo said he saw tmac macking on some billie jeans or dirty dianas, then he that's what he did. bigreg, you ain't the moral police. it's clutchfans.net not moralfans.net
In the end it doesn't matter, we're talking about his personal life that doesn't affect his basketball skills. Truth is that Rockets have screwed star players with injuries, it's time to change but due to specific situation it's not possible right now. We all know that Yao's not going to be dealt anytime soon since he's a cornerstone of a team and McGrady also since Rockets can't get nothing for him now. In few words, Rockets need to retool with main players. Yao/TMac experiment didn't work out.
I never said neither did I mean that Tracy was without blame. The press conference during halftime, announcing that he was having surgery without team management being alongside him, etc. Many stuations he could have handled differently. My point is that for all of his faults, it seems that every single thread highlights his faults. We all have faults but we also all have strengths and it takes an incredibly jaded person to either all ways point out a players faults/weaknesses. I'm not jaded but I can see how it appeared that way based upon all of the extra over the top criticism that he gets. No one who truly understands basketball can deny his God Given ability or that fact that his array of skills make the team better, not worse when he is healthy. Say what you will about the first round exits but I stand firm that in a team sport the whole team is accountable for the end result and with that being said, every playoff team that Tracy has been on has failed not because of one person but because the whole team failed each other. So while some of you may feel that the team should cut their ties and try to win with Yao, I think they should bring Tracy back and win with him. And as for me, Tracy is not my God and I don't put anything past any man. I was simply asking that if a man was gonna label as trolling for hotties then please back that up because that is a serious allegation.
I've been a McGrady supporter, but the Rockets as a team have moved on without him since last year. They would be taking a step backwards by letting him play next year IMO. Just let him expire, and see what we can do with the cap space next summer with all the free agents.
The guy got a woman in Orlando pregnant and went through a public deal, and now apparently just before last season got another woman pregnant. Tmac has made some seriously DUMB life altering decisions, especially around woman. DD
He is but He just wants more then what He is worth. or what the team thinks He is worth. He would have been a good bench player. He would be truly be missed.
How can you ignore the first round exits especially when the Rockets immediately make it out of the first round when he is not there. The problem isn't Tmac's GOD given talent, no question he has it, the problem is he forgets that talent is given from GOD. And that talent alone never wins championships it is talent used in a team effort. ANd don't say because he is a great passer that makes him a team player. Tmac doesn't put the team first or at least not often enough. He passes and scores for himself. he wants to create all. It's where those ridiculous statements like "it's on me", "I make everybody better", "I never had a Duncan or Shaq on my team", "The Lakers will win it all" (Forget to mention your own Rockets team) come from. He is is so self absorbed he can't see he has a great group of team players surrounding him. They could win it all if he just played team ball. But he has never fully bought into Adelman's offense. He always plays individually better in the playoffs which means he is slacking in the regular season. He is a slacker on defense. He has to believe it is on him and not a team game and when he doesn't feel that he sulks and sometimes quits. His selfish ploy to end a possible trade and announce his surgery without even notify his coach was pathetic. He lacks of confidence in his own teammates who have all shown more heart than he ever has. There is more too but suffice it to say Tmac's selfish antics are the bigget reason why no team of his has ever gotten out of the first round. After all that is said how could anyone want TMac back. Certainly I have made a case for trading him or at least keeping him on the inactive list for the better part of the season. But if you are a true Rockets fan you want to win above almost all else. And a motivated healthy TMac who will buy into a team concept can help us win. That Tmac is better than almost any other player we can trade him for. Nobody is giving up Wade, Kobe or lebron for Tmac. The best we can seem to get is a Kirilenko, Maggete or a Eddie Curry type player. That is laughable. Tmac even semi healthy is better. The question than becomes how do get back a motivated healthy TMac. A Tmac who will come back and buy into Adelman's offense and will he become a better team player. The answer is very simple, He doesn't have much of a choice. This is his contract year and his last chance to get a decent contract for his career. Anything less than a strong team effort where he buys into all of what Adelman says could mean he becomes bench fodder. he only need look at Starbury and AI to see what can happen to former greats who refused to give all for the team. AI and Starbury cost themselves millions because they weren't ready to put heir team first. Already the first indications are positive. He is working out harder than ever. He is saying all the right things. he is talking how he wants to be ready to open the season. He likes the Ariza (maybe he likes more that Artest is gone). He has witnessed how a less talented Rocket team can beat a Laker great team with just effort. Yes without "IT'S ON ME-TMAC" they got out of the first round and without him and Yao the managed to beat the Lakers twice in 4 tries (that is still amazing to me). With artest out of the locker room and the rest of the guys a bunch of good hard working team players he could come right and start a new leaf in his career, TMAC the Selfless. Okay that is going to far but there is no question a healthy Tmac who is buying into Adelmans offense makes a better team and if Yao comes back before season's end we could championship bound. So unlike some Tmac haters who might be completely done with him I am not but he has a short string. I do have some paience for his health and I think he is smart enough to not blow it but only time will tell.
im not a tmac fan. I have been saying to trade him or let him expire. you however need to watch the playoffs again because yao was not that effective in scoring against portland with the exception of game 1 and maybe another game. we won because brooks, artest, wafer, battier stepped up big time. portland did a very good job on fronting yao so we couldn't get the ball into him.
read about about TEAM basketball and watch the series again brooks, scola, battier, wafer, artest got their wide open looks, especially scola because Yao was having two guys guard him all the time. even if he wasnt scoring Yao was by far the biggest threat to score for the Rockets so he got so much attention..the times when Yao went to the bench the buckets were much harder to come by. No way we win that series versus portland with Yao, even if you replaced him with Andrew Bynum, pretty much any center outside of Howard and Shaq no way we win that series at all.
Yeah, the crazed tmac fans are now not claiming to be crazed fans for fear of embarrassment. I mean, who the hell got Greg Oden and that entire front line in foul trouble? Was it Chuck Hayes? Nope. If people didn't see the importance of Yao in the Portland series and how much trouble he caused their bigs at both ends, they need to get whipped in in front of Randy, Tito, and Jermaine by Joe Jackson.
