I'm patient alright, it's going to be a jaw-dropping season for him since he's money motivated, he's gonna magically do some great things this season, it's going to be good.

Yao sucks for not being here for him, he ruined McGrady's career, well I guess that's what happens when you have a soft big man filled with estrogen. The experiment will be regarded as one of the biggest failures in league history.

McGrady rivaled Kobe up until '06 where he broke down with injuries. Actually LOL @ you stating Kobe is clutch, it's funny because in the playoffs when the game is drawn within the final 2 minute mark, Kobe's only scored 8 points, has dished out 1 assist, grabbed 2 rebounds, and has 3 turnovers, on only 25% FG shooting. YA LOL he's clutch alright.

Replace Kobe with Paul Pierce, Vince Carter, and Tracy McGrady and you get the same damn thing in LA, you're like 12 years old, you have absolutely no knowledge over the game of basketball, just stop typing.

LOL dude wtf why do you keep talking about Hakeem in '95 (not that you even witnessed the run live), but you need to stop researching something great that happened over 15 years ago, it's time to talk about the present, and it's clear you have a lack of knowledge over that, move on son, you're done.

Tinman DID witness that run live. Maybe if you had, you would have a more mature perspective on the entire Tmac saga.

    hahahaha!

I have an autographed Ticket Stub signed "AKEEM"
I know that you probably think that I got a fake cause there was no H.

Here's something for you and the Tracy lovers should do.

    Take your McGrady poster,
    cut off his head.
Find a poster of Penny Hardaway

and stick the McGrady head on it.

There! Now you have Tracy with Shaq making it past the first round and into the NBA Finals!

And now you can throw Shaq and Nick Anderson under the bus for not beating the Rockets in 95.

    see? problem solved!

I remember watching game 7 at hooters on westheimer for 95. great times.

i was grounded for the first time since i yelled at my dad when he changed the channel during the 94 game 7 and this was during a commercial break. after the game ended and all I got two quick smacks and sent to my room for the rest of the night.

totally worth it, my mom felt bad cuz she that my dad made me cry because he hit me...my dad knew i was crying because the rockets won.

since my mom rules the nest i was let out for a special dessert that night too!

    Thanks Hakeem!

Cmon man, enough with this age discrimination...none of could help it that our parents didnt make us in the 70's or early 80's so we could've witnessed it live as a teenager/young adult.

I'm glad that you got to live through the 70's and 80's and really remember the 90's, I'm glad that yall have had a great life...unfortunately being a college student or young adult sucks right now, beacsue we're stuck in school, not knowing if we'll even get a job once we're done, with this economy and mess we're in.

I have the entire 95 run taped at my house...my dad taped (each game) so I
may have only been 6 when they won, but I do know my Rockets history.

I'm sure it was a blast to see that happen...I was lucky enough to witness the Astros get to the World Series, and the Super Bowl being held here. Thats all I can say at the moment, but God willing, I'll live a long life and be able to witness great moments in Houston Sports. Who knows, maybe the Texans will have a playoff berth in the next 10 years, lol.

Yall are lucky to have seen Dream play his entire career, I only got to watch him from the 95 finals til his last game in Houston. I am grateful that I got to witness that much...I have little cousins who ask me how great MJ was, and I'm thrilled to be able to tell them about the 5 seasons I was able to watch him play.

Who here said Tmac is supposed to be some basketball god?? I NEVER said that. I NEVER said he was better than Kobe, Lebron, and Dwade.

The point I was trying to make was no matter how great ONE PLAYER plays, it usually won't be enough, especially in the playoffs vs. a better, deeper team.

Jordan needed Pippen, Grant, Cartwright, Paxson, Armstrong, Oakley, etc. to have any team success...even when he averaged 37, 8, 7, 2, & 2, he couldn't do it on his own, and he did that for an entire season!

I never said "nobody could shut down tmac", I said Harpring (like you said), Fisher, AK47, and Giricek held him to 27 ppg, which was 3 ppg HIGHER than his regular season average. He also averaged more assists and rebounds per game as well vs. the Jazz....so it wasn't just him scoring points like you claim.

Look, your older than me, you got to witness Dream live...thats great, your a lucky dude that your parents created you back in the 70's instead of of 1988 like me, I can't help that.

But your perspective on Tmac is just off man...anytime I give you legitimate facts and stats, you run from that like a little b***h and you try to bring up an obvious fact like Kobe is better than Tmac, like I didn't already know that?

Then you compare Tmac to a top 10 all time player like Hakeem, even though I wasn't directly comparing them (I was just comparing their team situations), and try to give me a histroy lesson, even though I know my ROckets History and I'me 1/2 your age.

Just cuz I'm younger doesn't mean I don't have game tapes of Olajuwon at home, or that I haven't read a bunch of books on Hakeem, and that I haven't done my research on the Rockets and the NBA...your just assuming you know more cuz your older...don't judge a book by its cover.

It seems like you come up with out of the blue comparisons that have nothing to do with my argument about Tmac.

You COMPLETELY ignore the fact about supporting cast, even though this is a TEAM game...If Dwade and Kobe lose, its all good, they won with Shaq, its okay if they don't make the playoffs without him or get out of the 1st round without him. But if Tmac loses WITHOUT Yao, "Its Tmac's fault!!" Even though, he's never had a supporting cast better than his opponents.

Great analysis Tinman...ignore the facts that you want to, and bring in completely irrelevant ones...Maybe you should go take Doug Collins or Hubie Brown's, or Dr. Jack Ramsey's spot in play by play commentating...

Shaq won another title riding the coat tales of Dwade. I know you remember that Dwade drove to the hoop at will against the Mavs.

Tmac's era is over for the Rockets and he was a major reason why we did not have further success.

It is a team game, but your best players and your highest paid player are suppose to lead the way to success..

that's why they pay him so much.

But in the Tmac era, we realize the return on investment was... the same as it was before Tmac.

I'm not talking about 1 year or 1 series as you may think I am, I'm talking about the entire Tmac era.

    it sucked.

Okay, but it wasn't just Shaq on that team....MOurning, WHite Chocolate, Posey, Walker, Haslem etc.

Wade played great, and as I've stated MANY TIMES, he's better than Tmac.

Tmac was the major reason why we had the slightest bit of success...we didn't win 50 games in a season since the 97 season, we had 4 50+ wins with Tmac in Houston...3 back to back to back...the first time in Rockets History...also, remember that 22 game winning streak, Tmac was there for the entire streak, and led us when Yao went down in game 12.

Remember when Yao was out for 32 games in 2007, we still won 52 games that year, because Tmac helped lead the way during those 32 games.

I know thats not our ultimate goal, but with Steve Francis, we won 45 or 47 games, were a 7th seeded team...that was the PEAK of our success before Tmac and after Dream.

Also, its hard for Tmac to lead his team, when his star big man continues to get hurt, which gets us a lower seeding (we would've won 60+ games in 2007 and 2008 if Yao doesn't get hurt), also its hard to lead a team with a bunch of guys like, Ryan Bowen, Weatherspoon, Battier, Head, Hayes, Howard, and Deke who can't score in the playoffs.

Let Pau Gasol sit out as many games as Yao did, or miss a playoff series, and see how much success Kobe has...he wouldn't get out of the 1st round...he didn't in 2006 and 2007, AND he led a team that blew a 3-1 lead.

This team improved drastically with Tmac and Yao vs. Steve and Yao...just look at the record when Tmac and Yao play together vs. 1 of them or both of them being hurt, especially with Tmac out, the ROckets were horrible before this year...

This is really frustrating to get into this thread and just see people complaining. It's really annoying.

Just drop it Tinman and BlackKnight....

my favorite memory of T-Mac is when he scored 13pts in the last 30 sec to defeat the Spurs by 1 point. I almost fell through the 2nd floor at my home when I saw that. UNBELIEVABLE!!
