To this day, I like it more than Star Wars; not that I didn't like Star Wars. I just liked BTTF better.

    Oh, shut up.

I was listening to 610 on the way home today to people who had no clue about "Fast Times" or "Back to School."

I only brought it up for the youngsters who haven't seen it.

C'mon, it was a fun movie.

And a chance for me to YOUTUBE!

I would like to make a suggestion to those who haven't seen the Back to the Future series and to those who have... watch them consecutively in a day or two back to back... you will see the genius they put in making these movies.

Saw the first movie once a while back. Didn't think enough of it to watch the sequels. But it was an okay movie.

While I loved those flicks, the Star Wars trilogy (the first two and a half, anyway) beats the Back films silly. However, I've gotta say that the first Back to the Future film was awesome. No way it compares to Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back, though. To be fair, it's apples and oranges. Back was as much a comedy as a science fiction adventure.

    Blade Runner crushes them all.

I know what I'm talking about.

I remember seeing "to be continued" at the end of the first one. A couple of years went by and I wasn't sure if they were ever going to make the sequel. Finally, 4 years after the first one came out, BTTF2 hit theaters. And one of the previews was for BTTF3. I was 9 years old and it blew my mind that they had a trailer for the 3rd film as one of the previews before the 2nd film.

If NBC hadn't run it into the ground showing it every single year it would probably get the non-ironic, non-80s-nostalgia-tainted respect it deserves. The score from that movie is one the few tunes that gets me a little verklempt, I guess it just transports me back to that theater as a little kid with the whole family.

Interesting that it was probably the biggest or last big thing any of the actors did, even though Lloyd could have played Cosmo Kramer in his sleep. And I guess Thompson, even with "Caroline in the City," was just too damn dull to ride that '90s thirty-something white actress romantic-comedy wave. Marty McFly has Parkinson's, my God. Scott Wolf and Rob Lowe have pretty much taken all his TV-movie/prime-time drama conflicted yuppie roles now.

Who here can "Mullah Mohammed Omar" some Libyans?

I went to Universal in '88 or so when they were filming this. They said they were thinking this was a trilogy and I was so amazed by the "to be continued" forward.

Main reason I started a thread a year ago. I wanted a flying car if I'm going to be Marty's age, damnit...

Come on man. How can you forget that BTTF was the great Billy Zane's first film?
