I miss them in their previous form. Don't really care about the players, just wish we had a similar collection of 5 great defenders to throw at teams at any position in any combination we like (Capela, Ariza, Tucker, Moute, Gordon). That was so damn impactful. It's very similar to what the Raptors did this past season. You basically have to have around 4-5 multi-position defenders who can hit wide open 3's, and 2 to 3 creators on offense. I'm sold on that formula for a championship team.

Tucker, Gordon and Capela are good. A big, a mid and a guard. We need 2 more defenders in the 6'6-6'10 range. One of House and Clark might be able to break into that role. We really really need one more though.

On Rivers, he's a good defender and shot creator, but his height and major FT issues are a problem. I do have a feeling he will see a bump in 3pt and FT%, but still he is either behind WB/Harden/Gordon or we are going small with him, which opens up new problems.

If we get Jordan as center, it will be perfect. Luc can give help on small forward and power forward.

    Westbrook/Rivers
    Harden/Eric Gordon
    Prince/Eric Gordon
    Tucker/Jeff Green

Trevor already has a ring and he's in good form at the moment, but I think he should be more focused on money now...

Robert Covington is Elite at 3 and D.

Trevor Ariza in the beginning of his career cannot shoot the 3, worked his way as a shooter, but became better but had bad habits in leaning left or right on his 3 pointers. Cannot drive to the basket, cannot dribble, very slow in attacking the basket.

Trevor drives gets stuck at the Free Throw Line gives it to James Harden, to bail him out of a bad play.

Remember when Morey thought Ariza was the key player to build a team around? Trevor was a mess as the main player which in many ways showed some of Kobe’s greatness. Nothing wrong with Ariza but he can’t carry a team. The Ariza’s of the world make the league great. The talent and drive are there but their play just enhances other players. (Scottie Pippen, OR our Robert Horry, Sam Cassell and the beloved Otis Thorpe come to mind) Solid star players with maybe an all star appearance but not a superstar. Wish we had a team full of Arizas to put around Harden & Westbrook. We kind of do in Covington...

    That's right, Dude.

We now have a more cost-effective, younger "Trevor" - Conv.
I mean, if possible... Can we bring Trevor back? Although he is now 35 years old, he is still in good form in Portland. I think the price is reasonable, he is still a qualified 20 minute rotation.

Not this season, he opted to be with his kid, him and wife separated, not playing at all.
