Congrats! My sister is 5 weeks pregnant with her second child. This shall mark my second time being an uncle!
Are you speaking from experience? Isabel, Congrats and good luck. I enjoyed your op and wish you and your new family the best.
Congrats Isabel!!! Get ready for one of the greatest rides of your life. (Paging Dr. Swoly). My wife had really bad morning sickness through each of our three kids. The only thing she could do was to just tough it out. She tells me that the only thing she really could do was keep a positive attitude about it and know that at the end of that day, she's one day closer to have the sickness pass. You OB can try to switch up your vitamins, but more than likely, your sickness is stemming from the overabundance of hormones in your system. My wife also tried seabands (http://www.sea-band.com/), but those didn't work at all for her. Might be worth a shot for you. All-in-all, try to avoid strong smells (or smells that seem to trigger the sickness more). Avoid offensive or spicy foods for a while. Eat light, but frequent (as some/all of what you eat might not be with you for long). Just focus on making yourself as comfortable as you can. Sometimes the distraction of trying to deal with it is enough to help you forget some of the bad feelings you're going through. Congrats again!!!...7/8 months from now, you won't remember or care about any of the morning sickness period. All you know is you wish you were able to get more sleep <grin>.
Congrats! That's exciting news. Knowing your pregnant does make me glad I'm a man. Seriously I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes as smoothly as possible for you.
Oh man, I am SO glad I'm a man... First of all, CONGRATS! Wife and I just had twin boys 2 months ago. It was a very high-risk pregnancy due to a stillborn in 09 and a miscarriage in 10. My wife, God bless her (it's an expression....no holy wars, please...), had to give herself 2 lovenox shots a day to prevent blood clots, which is what caused the stillborn. Can you imagine having to give yourself 2 shots a day for 9 months? In the stomach? I can't. And she handled it like a trooper. Tons more stories I could bore everyone here with, but suffice to say it was not an easy pregnancy. But I'll tell you what - when people used to tell us "it will all be worth it in the end" we thought it was just something people say. But it is SO TRUE. I can't even remember what my life was like 3 months ago. Besides the fact that I'm on no sleep and can never watch a Texans game without crying babies to deal with, I love every minute of it and I've literally never been happier in my life. Congrats again!
Congratulations and best wishes, Isabel. Hope to hear good things about this new chapter in your life.
You're on the verge of feeling good and energetic and really wanting to organize a lot of stuff. Of course, after a couple months of that, you'll be back to feeling crappy again. But, it will be a different kind of crappy. So, there's that. Anyway, congrats.
Congrats, especially on your first try with non protected humping. I just got married two weeks ago but we've been trying for 4 months. No luck. I'm ready damnit, but the penus decided to put blanks in the chamber as a prank so far.
