yeah i definitely dont expect everyone to agree or understand what i mean....i think that the older fans, or long time fans, have dealt with enough big wins and losses to know how to control their emotions away from the game. Some of the younger or newer fans though get overly emotional though. I think both kinds of fans yell and hate during a game, but the ones who have been around for a while know in the end it's just a game and most players see it that way. They know most of these guys arent leaving the game hating each other, they may even be going out after to get some dinner or whatver. It's like actors, some people see an actor who played a villain in a movie on the street and they want to go up to them and cuss them out, some really do. They can't separate the character from the real person. Not that all nba players are acting, but the point is what they do on the court doesn't always translate to how they are as a person, some of us get caught up in that and take it to personal levels after the game when the players themselves probably already forgot about it.
i wanted to clarify this part i think that's somewhat confusing, i didnt mean you can hate for personal stuff but not oncourt stuff. what i mean is, if you believe Kobe raped a girl and he's bad person for it and that's why u hate on him as a person, then that's your belief and even if i may disagree with it, it's still logical......but if Pau gasol goes up aggressively and rolls over Hayes and you start talking about how gasol is an ******* and a piece of ****, well that doesn't make much sense, what he did was within and part of the game. If you thought it was a charge fine, but getting personal over that? doesnt make sense.
Some people like me take thier sports personally. So Yes I do hate the Fakers and especially Kobe. Would I ever do anything to actually hurt them? Of course not. Defining "not classy" in the NBA by calling another team a name or another teams player is insane. This is going to happen no mater what! Now cheering for a player that is hurt on the other team is not classy, but Houston fans would never do such thing.
How does one become a classy fan? Better yet, does one want to be a classy fan? When someone spends hours reading a forum whose sole purpose in life is to discuss a specific team's everything, you call that someone a fan who is probably maniacally addicted to that team. That person earns the right to be emotionally unstable. That person earns to right to be foaming from the mouth watching his favorite team play without drawing stares from his friends. And now you want the very same person to behave like a stiff at an opera house. I think not. Curse all you want, my fellow Rockets fans. That is your entitlement.
Completely agree- though that was what Fisher and the Lakers were hoping for---let the Referee take Scola out of the game because they had trouble matching up with him......Like it or not Laker fans - Scola was effective Lakers wanted Artest and Scola removed
Scola was effective?!?! Did you watch any game of this series besides game 6??? Go back and look at some of the box scores. Scola played scared most of the series and wasnt anywhere close to being as effective as he was against portland. Seriously, think before you post garbage like that.
