Be careful Seclusion: Man dies after 3-day video gaming binge

This has happened before I believe, and was also in an Asian country. I guess those Internet Cafes are open 24/7.

I've gone on some gaming binges myself. Was really bad when I was younger and played JRPGs fairly often. I couldn't imagine now playing for more then 2 hours without at least getting up for a drink or something.

 

Lol, I'll try hard not to die. Like Junkyard said though, this has happened several times. I thought they added laws limiting how long the internet cafes could stay open, but I guess that was China, Korea, and Singapore.

Personally I don't think I could even go 24 hours straight now. I like sleeping far too much. Most I've played in one sitting for awhile was Destiny for like 7 hours. Even then I took breaks to go eat, etc. People are crazy.

 

In high school I was a seclusion. I played 12 hours metal gear solid and a gears of war. Now, i get p***y and lift weights. Thank you Zyzz. You mirin?

 

I think my longest runs without alternative entertainment have been with Halo. I called out sick. Think I went 3 days straight there. I took minor relaxation breaks, food and drink... but it was so much fun I could not stop. Think Tecmo Bowl in college would have been second, where I went a full 2 days straight with all of my roomates and some highschool kids. Skipping classes. So much fun. some controllers went flying in the playoffs due to the pressure to win and lack of sleep. Perhaps third for me would be Oblivion were I would go on some major time losing adventures at night.

I have no doubt these games cause work productivity issues when they are really good. But not to die for yet... for me.

I used to play Runescape for hours on end. I may have gone 12-16 hours straight at one point, but that's pushing it. It was just taking up too much of my time because there was literally no end to the game, I had to quit cold turkey. At one job I used to "work late" a lot because I would play this game

 

Played Dark Souls 2 for an entire day when it 1st came out but I also took bathroom and snack breaks every two to four hours.

Are there short-term dietary factors here, like declining to drink or eat? It seems like other people engage in work or other activities for a full day or so without dying.

 

The guy probably didn't eat / drink / sleep.
