Are you sure you want to stand behind this statement?

Want to tell us what Iraq did to the United States that justified this war?

The Iraqi government launched daily attacks against American and British aircraft enforcing the NFZs from the end of the Gulf War on. That of course doesn't even count all of the times Iraqi soldiers shot at American troops during the Gulf War itself. Your statement was factually incorrect.

america invaded iraq - iraqis shooting at americans who invaded their country doesnt really qualify as them being a threat to us.

america was launching attacks against iraq during the 90's. how many people died under clintons sanctions? how many children?

"oh, those monsters. how dare they fight back when we attack them!"

Of course the UN never authorized invasion either.

Right, but why would the UN issue all these resolutions if they didn't think it was a threat?

Who said anything about a threat? jo mama specifically said Iraq had never done anything to the United States. I would call killing American soldiers and shooting at american pilots doing something.

I assume you mean illegals or undocumented aliens , to be more correct,.

We have gone to Mexico and El Slavador to recruit soldiers. Offered them green cards.

    Of course it could backfire.

See: The Batallón de San Patricio: Historical background

The San Patrcio Battalion, also known as Irish Volunteers, "Los Colorado's" (because of the disproportionate number of red-headed soldiers): San Patricia Guards; San Patricio Company; Foreign Legion; Legion of strangers and other designations, was mainly made of immagrants to America (some of them US-Army desserters) that fought on the Mexican side in the Mexican/American War).

Hollywood made a movie. "One Man's Hero" about the batallion.

Is what they did worth the cost of this war, in lives and dollars spent?

Is what they did worth tipping the balance of power in the region to Iran?

I say the overthrow of Saddam Hussein was not worth what it has cost us, in lives and treasure, and what it's going to cost us in the future...a more powerful and emboldened Iran, with nukes.

    Prove me wrong.

im sure you would have been on the side of jack palance in the movie shane.
jack - "pick up the gun"
farmer - "i dont want to mister. you will shoot me"
jack - "pick up the gun"
farmer - "please mister, i just came into town to get some supplies"
jack - "pick up the gun"
farmer bends over to pick up gun and jack kills him
jack - "you saw him, he had a gun"
