I've always questioned the character of people who are severely emotionally invested in a university they don't attend. There's nothing wrong with being a fan, but using words like "we" and "us" is inappropriate.

Useless stuff but anyone see Saban get clanked upside the head with the cooler when they gave him the gatorade shower? Took a nice shot.

Playing against a monster defense. Weird but I think Texas could have pulled it off if they prepared for the game with him as the QB. It was clear that he needed more reps with the receivers..

I also think Davis was far too conservative...Bama was up on the line of scrimmage all first half...just a simple go route would have been nice to see......

And it might have worked, so much one on one coverage on the outside......so many open receivers.....

Lost chances......by playing not to lose, IMO.

can someone please inform me why they didnt give a knee at the end instead of scoring a td? pretty classless , cant wait for UT to go undefeated next year and replay Bama.

Why is that such a big deal here? I guess i see the deal with someone who talks a lot of smack and is all die hard and it looks sorta lame that he didn't even go there.

To me it's like rooting for any other sports team. I see guys who go to UH rooting for other teams all the time. What about guys who go to somewhere like SHSU? Who gives a damn, let them root for who they want to root for.

I never went to Texas but i've watched them and rooted for them since i was like 12. It's probably like kids growing up in cali watching the more popular USC and rooting for them even though they end up going to San Diego State or something imo.

LOL - using the word "character" is inappropriate.

I chose Baylor but have been watching Texas football since I was a youngster. My frat brothers from UT have no problem with me using the word we and us. They know what the deal is.

I root for the Rockets, Texans, Stros, Baylor, UT, and all things USA.

Bama won't make it. Ingram is as good as gone. Why would he come back?

I think the 1st half D let them down a bit. After Colt went out, the offense kicked 2 FGs and gave them a 6-0 lead. The defense let Bama drive it into UT territory and pin the offense deep. UT goes 3 and out. Next drive, Bama runs it right down the field for the TD and the lead. Both teams traded 3 and outs, and then UT gave up a 50 yard TD run. In the 1st half, UT ran 32 plays and Bama ran 34. I think that long TD run killed the momentum. And then the pick 6 before the half was a killer.

The second half D was great. No sustained drives, just two junk TDs off of bad turnovers deep in their own end.

Because True Sophomores can't declare for the NFL Draft.

I was thinking that too but then the turnovers caused by the new kid proved to me that Davis actually made the right calls..

I've always found it strange that the loudest UT supporters here are not students or alumni of said university.

Astros148 and ItsMyFault, for example, tend to dominate all UT related threads.

    Not at all.

Davis ran on first and 2nd down every time....he did not do the kid any favors.....a hitch and go on first down.....would have loosened things up a lot.

It is the NC game, you don't play "NOT TO LOSE" you play to win...

it was Saban's way of telling Muschamp clown "suck a fat one, brah".. and yes, it's pretty classless, but it's understandable since UT had a timeout left.
good luck with that, especially with Child Gilbert takings the snaps

I can't get rid of this lingering feeling of utter dissatisfaction after that game. I feel like I just wasted a whole year watching football. Not just Texas, but the likes of Florida, Bama, USC, Boise State, etc. so I have a gauge on how good we'll do in the national championship game. At the start of the year with all the players returning, I felt that this year would be a disappointment if we don't win the title and a complete disaster if we miss the BCS title game altogether.

And I could not be any more disappointed than I am now. Not at what took place on the field, not at all, but at what could've been. That's just coming from a regular UT fan from class of '07. I can't possibly imagine what McCoy is going through right now.

Ever since after Bradford's and Tebow's injuries, McCoy has been the one that's saying injury is part of the game and he can't worry about things he can't control. And in the end, it robbed him the only chance in his life to put a definitive ending to his brilliant college career.

Yeah, this game will do us good for the young players next year, but I don't want to wait for next year again. That's what I told myself last year after the Texas Tech game, and it's been a LONG year to get back here. The standard is set that much higher at program such as Texas, and we didn't get there again. I wouldn't go as far as saying we would've won, but man, Alabama didn't do ANYTHING to make me think we'd struggle on offense, defense, or special team.

    This feeling ****ing sucks.

I guess i see your point if they are super trolls and homers, but to me its like rooting for any other team you follow and talking smack when someone talks smack about the team you follow.
