Congrats to the Tide. Good game, better than expected after Colt was out. Enjoy the title!!!

I have no doubt that the Tide are the best team in the nation. Great D, great running game (who knows what the score would have been if Ingram didn't have cramps), great all around program.

I still HATE your coach, but I'm proud of the Longhorns and how they fought back. A freshman QB against that great D? Just awesome to know I was jumping off of my couch with joy after the last TD to Shipley with a few minutes left.

I just LOVE college football. I'll miss Colt. I'll miss Shipley. I'll miss a lot of things from this year that surprised me, but what a hell of a ride it was. Thanks Mack and THANK YOU UT! It was a joy!

You're trolling this thread by making outlandish comments with absolutely no stake in reality as usual.

Horns lost, Colt is a system QB.

Moes, I'm as glad as anyone that Bama won the NC, since around here that's better than the teasips gloating about the horns and McCoy being the next can't miss QB (that still somehow drops in the draft.) But as an impartial observer with a slight tilt against UT, I thought it was classless.

"Oh look, the USC Defensive End ran out of the play and VY just ran by him AGAIN for a 4th and medium conversion...."

i'm seriously laughing at some of these posts. i'm not saying everyone in here posted in that high school basketball team that won by 100 pts thread. but there were a ton of people in that thread talking about how the team that lost by 100 just sucks, and take no prisoner attitude. yet people in here are crying about poor sportsmanship by bama.

im not gonna run through this thread and then check the other thread to see who said what. im just making an observation of the board in general.

We lost, get over it. No reason to be classless about it. Ingram played how many minutes? He's their best player and he was on the bench most of the game.

Yeah, I'm sure being on the field constantly - not to mention the complete and total shock of watching your leader, who hasn't missed a snap due to injury since 2006, go out to a freak injury in the national title game - had nothing to do with Ingram's strong second quarter. Nothing at all.

Still proud of Texas for fighting back, didn't like the coaches being so conservative, didn't like the calls in the first half....thought a time out to get a shuttle pass called was stupid.

Still....they fought back, I hope Colt is ok, just read up on the injury he has and if it is ruptured, he might never play again.

Let's hope he just has a stinger.....he deserved better.

Congrats Bama, you took advantage as a good team should....Ingram is solid.

But hearing about his father was nauseating, he should be rotting in prison, I don't care if he got to watch the game or not.

Anyway, to the Bama fans showing class, congrats....

To the Texas Haters...it's ok, you couldn't get into the school anyway.......

Dada, weren't you the one complaining that they don't keep scores for kids soccer leagues?

Two completely different sports, if a team is up by 20 with a minute and 40 left in basketball you don't just hold the ball and get 24 second violations, you still try to score.

On the otherhand, in football, if a team is up like that you take a knee and end the game as quickly as possible, there is pretty much no good reason for Bama to be trying to score in that situation outside of running up the score.
