    So essentially playing not to lose?? That usually gets you beat against a team that doesn't beat themselves. Mack will adjust the game plan with the new QB so that they dont beat themselves....

    Gilbert needs to get the headset off, stop talking to Greg Davis, and get some words from VY!

    How many ways can GD say "1st D - run. 2nd D - run 3rd D - pass 4th D- punt"

    I think Gilbert's got that offense down.

    So far it seems they don't have confidence enough in Gilbert to let him pass on anything but 3rd down... and we don't have any semblance of a running game (as has been proven all year)... So it might work for Saban in this case.

    Ok so if playing for Texas was your dream, wouldn't telling the staff to strap up whatever is bothering him and coming back out be the ultimate, things legends are made of??? Colt screw the fame and money of the NFL and be something money can't make you...a LEGEND.

    That would be my pep talk at the half. :grin:

    Yet every series that the Horns run, run, pass, punt gets the QB more acclimated to the game. Eventually the Tide start to creep up and the Horns will be able to PA on 1st down for the home run. Playing close to the vest can get you burned on freak plays. Like a special teams or defensive touchdown. Perhaps a running play that goes the distance.

    Well, I hope you're right - maybe at halftime they regroup and alter the offensive attack we've seen with Gilbert thus far.

    But with Greg Davis - I'm never confident.
